General Flynn resigns from position

lol @ trump confirming leaks are valid by whining about them

I hope they don't think this is the end of this, and I hope no one accepts this is the end of this.

One thing I noticed is how mad people are in the replies. That's new. Before it was mostly bots and Trumpers. Maybe they aren't awake yet or don't even know what happened since FOX is trying to ignore it.

yeah I've noticed his replies get madder and madder. Wasn't sure if it was just because I mute pepe nazi accounts

Don't forget Trump LIED about Flynn story Friday when getting on the plane to Florida by saying he hadn't heard the story. Media needs to be bringing this up.

I wonder if Twitter is also quietly banning Trump-bots. I've noticed a lot of them were missing in the replies. The latest group I saw were actual accounts discussing their support for that chick at the Oscars for her dress.

In case it's not clear, he's warning about efforts to attack these people and bring them down, he's not supporting such efforts.

I was a bit confused by the author's stance reading the entire article until I got to this paragraph:
In normal times, the idea that U.S. officials entrusted with our most sensitive secrets would selectively disclose them to undermine the White House would alarm those worried about creeping authoritarianism. Imagine if intercepts of a call between Obama's incoming national security adviser and Iran's foreign minister leaked to the press before the nuclear negotiations began? The howls of indignation would be deafening.

At which point I thought to myself that he was not actually supporting the efforts to oust Trump's administration.

If the Dems had the White House and ignored such a warning, the GOP would certainly investigate. It should now too.
I don't agree with this guy in any way politically, but he always comes across as a reasonable man.

Collins is a weird dude. He was running for some position in WNY (I think county executive) and he came to my school for a debate. At the end he basically said that if he won we could maybe see his daughters at our school dance (it was an all guys highschool). It seemed really weird, like he was offering his daughters to us for a vote.

Going Old Testament for votes.

Predictable spin from Spicer:

SPICER: "As far as I know, the President was never briefed on Ms. Yates memo. As soon as the President was made aware of Mr. Flynn's actions he took the appropriate measures and asked for his resignation."

ANY REPORTER WITH A BRAIN: "But Sean, how could the President not be made aware of such a damaging report of his own National Security Adviser?! This report existed for just over a month."

SPICER: "Listen, as I said before, as far as I know the President was not made aware of the existence of that particular memo. You should remember that Ms. Yates was an Obama appointee who was fired for refusing to carry out a lawful order by the Commander in Chief. That's all I'm going to say on that matter."

Anyone think someone on the team will flip???? What does Kelly have as a career when this blows up?

Spicer with the Obama dig. Funny how that won't even stick anymore.

I have a small degree of sympathy for Spicer and Conway considering they're mostly just moving up the ladder but oop wait at the top there's this fucking idiot who's gonna ruin my life with his stupidity

So when do we get the barrage of investigative journalism that leads with:

"What did The President know and when did he know about it" hit pieces?

Y'all, deflection, deflection

This will just make me believe anything that leaks now as being legitimate. Very weak.

Which side has power? Because they sure as shit ain't choosing loyalty over power. Ergo Trump it is.

I think the leadership may start realizing they need to consolidate more power into Congress and weaken the executive, since it's becoming obvious this administration is a bigger dumpster fire than they even anticipated.

Just Spicer for me. Kelly helped this ish with all her fiber. It's why I kind of wish it'll be her that brings it all down.

Its better to look like a dumb fuck than calculating, I guess. Maybe he should worry less about terrorist refugees and look at his own house.

"You should be more concerned about another possible 9/11 with terrorists flooding into the country thanks to the games being played the Courts and the Democrats on this matter. The President took swift and appropriate action once he learned the extent of Mr. Flynn's actions. This is no longer a story. The President is now focused on how to currently keep the country safe. You should be reporting on that."

Sympathy for individuals with no morals who will do anything and say anything for more money and/or power?

Predictable spin from Spicer:

By all accounts Trump should be trapped on this. If he didn't know, it was a complete subversion of his authority and makes it appear that key cabinet members withheld critical national security information from The President of the United States. If he did know, he lied to the American people and compromised national security, to protect a compromised member of staff.

But essentially, If The President didn't know, how can that happened? Who gets to hold that kind of information from The President?

Shes on the gawdamn ropes, man. Holy crap. Theres no way to spin Yates warning the administration. Their only recourse is to pleade for the media to move on. They won't.

If only they hadn't treated the media as the opposition, constantly insulted journalists, TV networks and reporters,....

I don't agree with this guy in any way politically, but he always comes across as a reasonable man.

I feel like he may be the key to the house, getting primary challengers that are moderate republicans who are not bound to trump who are willing to investigate

Spicer seems like the type of guy that wouldn't surprise me if he had a GAF account and created a thread titled, "I hate my boss. What to do GAF?" and "I have weird rings around my eyes. Am I already dead?"

Spicer gets the worst of it since he's the public face and got set up to fail hard

Sympathy for individuals with no morals who will do anything and say anything for more money and/or power?

Conway's a mercenary, she was gonna bounce to something else but then the doofus won

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Obama's masterful trolling by announcing new Russia sanctions a couple of weeks before the next President comes into office?

Now, for the time being, Trump admin can't do a thing about Russian sanctions, and Russia likely won't retaliate for the sanctions after Flynn's resignation...

Don't forget his hypothetical "Top 10 favorite gundams" and "Why do people think I'm an asshole for having an anime avatar?" threads.

Does he deserve it as much as the ones that were on the campaign the whole time. Eh...they can all fail.

Spicer seems like the type of guy that wouldn't surprise me if he had a GAF account and created a thread titled, "I hate my boss. What to do GAF?" and "I have weird rings around my eyes. Am I already dead?"

A...real talk. Or that vague thread that ends up in a backfire.

If Spicer had a GAF account he'd be PM'ing people and asking them what their contribution to society is.

So you have sympathy for mercenaries?

Yet, we both know he'll wiggle out of it.
