General Flynn resigns from position

I have to wonder how much people like Spicer and Conway are getting paid.

It can't be worth this much stress. Not to mention they probably aren't going to be getting another job after this.

Weird mix of bullshit and facts, not sure I like taste of that spoonful. Trump / WH was informed weeks ago by DoJ, but it didn't have any effect on Flynn's posting or public displays of trust and support towards him from administration.

Trump & Goonsquad just prayed that shit wouldn't get out. It did get out and now they are pissed off because "bad leaks" took shit on their plans.

Yeah, just wasn't sure if another article already mentioned that Trump knew weeks before. As if anyone would believe they investigated him properly or something.

I know a bunch. They are all disgusted and regret voting for him. Maybe they're all lying, but they seem pretty pissed off whenever Trump's antics are brought up. They also blame the GOP now too.

As tempting as it must be to ridiculize them, don't.

You guys need everyone you can on the good side. It's really hard for people to admit they were wrong.

Hmmm...could they profit off a future book providing an insiders view of Trump's White House. I could see there being a demand for that.

The NY Times says that there is a recording of Flynn's phone conversation. Is there any chance this will be made public?

"The Justice Department told the White House about the contents of Mr. Flynn’s conversation with Mr. Kislyak, which had been recorded by a government wiretap."
This could be Nixon Tapes level shit if it leaks.

Yup. Probably hasn't slept, and the weight of keeping this facade up is clearly weighing on her.
With the amount of damage she's slinging on behalf of Trump, she doesn't deserve any mercy until she fucking resigns and tries to undo all the misinformation she's spread to the country.

Would Obama have been briefed on this?

It only makes sense that he would have been, given the timeline.
Making it easier for the NSA to share its data collection with other federal agencies was sinister but makes sense in retrospect.
I assume that was another parental lock by Obama.

This clip from the TODAY Show, I truly believe, shows Conway just giving up in real time. Especially at :27 when she says "resigned" and shakes her head.

She looks as if she hasn't slept in weeks.

lol they fucking wiretapped Flynn
that is hilarious

Not Flynn. The intelligence community (the Times didn't specify which organization) taps into most of Russia's diplomats communications. Flynn is a dumb fuck for not realizing that his phone call would be under surveillance since its standard procedure for the NSA, CIA, DIA, State Department, and etc. to monitor all calls to and from Russian (and likely other adversaries') diplomats.

Isn't there a rumor that the military was investigating him about a separate incident? Could have had a warrant based on that.

What kind of vetting are you doing if you appoint someone the NSA while he's under investigation for possible foreign influence?

The administrations claims are so fucking weak.

"We only looked into whether there was a legal issue at that time."

Let me get this straight, you had no problem with being advised that Flynn was LYING about what he had said to Russia, and only cared about whether it was ILLEGAL? No care that the fact he LIED indicated something much, much worse than any potential illegality involving that conversation.

The entire defense is grasping at straws bullshit.

the fan is made of shit

the whole ceiling is shit

I found a video that describes the Trump admin pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRx49-leiRE

I mean, the odds are that he never lied to them at all and they're just trying to cover their own tracks by using Flynn as a fallguy, that should be incredibly obvious.

EXTREME VETTING! Believe me!

What? No, they are pretty much set for life making good money as consultants/lobbyists.

Trump might succeed in single handily bring back the McCarthy era and red scare with everyone witch hunting for people who've become Russian assets.

Oh I have no doubt they knew, but even the denial spin they're trying to use is weak as fuck.
