Weekly chest in Nefer's office that gave 100k mora if you had her in your party. Now it won't give up the goods.
What's the trigger for it to give the mora, and what's the trigger for it to end? I didn't get a damn thing despite having her since day 1 of the patch.
Khaenri'ah was supposedly 5500 years old when it was destroyed, which places it at the same time as the other ancient civilizations.
Was it? I was under the assumption it was relatively quick to rise and quick to fall. I'll have to look it up. That would have put them originally back in the age of the dragons, but I don't think it's that old.
Some of it could be attributed to a "memory filter" to make things hazy/gloomy.
They were also going through some upheavals in their political structure so maybe there was a purge on amenities or something? Every underground area is gloomy to some extent where it isn't just single rooms. Not everywhere has that fancy light the area in Inazuma had.
True, could just be the piecemeal we saw from Rerir's memories that was like a drudge dungeon. I dunno, I expected more arts/decorations/accoutrements. The quest mentioned that their food situation was kinda limited due to no sunlight (meats/fungi/etc), so maybe it was like that for the finer things as well? Dunno, we have been hit with "Khanre'ah was the pinnacle of human civilization" for so long, I just assumed way better than what it is.
In the Sumeru desert, there hasn't been any signs of civilian advanced tech either. Just some elevators, force fields, and attack bots.
I mean, sure, if you ignore Deshret's tech which was wildly advanced for their time. and all the Ruin tech. I think people misunderstand how advance Deshret's people were because we barely got any flashback stuff displaying it outright. If you read the books/monuments and paid attention to the Liloupar quest, they were crazy advanced. Hell, look at the pyramid.
There hasn't been a set standard for showing civilians in the ancient world to have access to the ancient tech.
Yea, but one of those entire Dain quests a long time ago was about how Khanre'ah specifically created all of the Ruin _____'s. Sentinels, drakes, graders, scouts, etc. They also figured out how to get into the moon realm, whether that was by torture/sacrifice of the CM clan or their own tech exploits. They were very capable. Probably partially thanks to the sinners (before they became sinners) and their areas of expertise.
My faulty memory's gonna mess things up here, but I think you're right. Not sure where that would fit in with the already established lore for Ann. But her brother Alain was known to tinker with machines (he made that robot dog) so I assume he 'rebuilt' her after she got wounded. Or she could be a clone of some sort. I assume she joined the Fatui after her brother passed away as she lacked purpose. Perhaps she's trying to rebuild him now.
IMO, calling so many characters (including an Oceanid) Ann, Mary Ann, etc. really confused those plot points for a lot of people. Myself included. I saw a good video on the Narzissenkrauz Institute plotline a while ago, if I can find it, I'll link it here. I need to rewatch it myself and see how it lines up with what we know now.
Well they're kinda ignoring her own personal damage contribution. If she buffs Lunar reactions and deals ton of Hydro DMG herself, she'd still be a definitive upgrade over anyone else available right now. But I hope they're just missing a piece of the puzzle.
True, the missing piece here is where her damage comes from and what the #s are. The first leak saying she "wets" the surrounding area implies there's no damage, like Barbara's skill or Nilou's water circle.
Either way, mechanically it's so much less interesting than Furina's kit, despite how much I hate the HP mechanics that she has.
But what would Genshin discussion be without doomposting the latest Archon for a while, it is a ritual at this point. I'm sure she'll turn out to be strong in the end.
