Either way, 2.2 rumors all indicate that there are only reruns in that patch with Thoma being a new 4* thrown in somewhere, so I've decided to roll for Kokomi regardless. I already have Cocogoat, and the rest of the Liyue reruns don't interest me, so I won't be pulling until 2.3 regardless (hopefully Yae). We're not exactly drowning in Hydro characters (ha!), so she will at least be another Hydro option and I like her design regardless of her kit. After the banner announce, I'll probably roll to build pity on the Shogun banner though since I could use more Sara constellations.

I dunno if you guys have seen this Fate Grand Order drama with the CN server, but it's not looking good for CN gachas right now. They're censoring the shit out of FGO for all Chinese characters for now, and there are rumors that there's more to come. Right now it's just anything that paints Chinese historic figures as less than the gods of men that they "really" were. They also recently passed a mandate that no women in underwear, swimsuits, or revealing clothing can be in games, and no sissified men. It's going to be a wild ride, since a lot of the bigger gachas currently are from CN. Curious to see if they just neuter their games for all regions, neuter it for only CN server and piss off their local fanbase (who have already been shown to be unhinged), or what ever else could happen.

Some people are saying that even if they don't censor other regions, it'll likely be a side effect of not wanting to run two versions of all of their content, so everything in the future will be made to CN standards for all regions. That could kill games like Azur Lane and Honkai outright, and probably hurt Genshin quite a bit.

I'd like to assume that if that happens, more companies would move their corporate HQ out of CN, but who knows. I'm sure it would have to make financial sense to do it, so it'll probably depend on how badly this hurts CN profits.

Time to look at Korean and Japanese games again I guess.

I haven't seen a very good explanation, but I think it goes back to a new Ministry of Culture appointed guy is trying to make a name for himself. Plus butthurt CN players going to the government to turn in gacha companies when they feel slighted by them. I know Arknghts CN fanbase is constantly at war with other gacha fanbases and is trying to get them in shit with the CCP. They're like the Twitter blue checkmarks of China.

Nope, later event, this event is all about fishing and helping you get the R5 catch fast.

You will still have to wait for the special fish to respawn every 3 days (or go to other realms), but everything else you can farm now and especially the fish for the rods from Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, which makes fishing so much easier.

The anniversary stream will probably bring some codes with stuff.

Outside of games there's a big crackdown on basically everything and everyone. Some say it looks like a cultural revolution 2.0. Latest law was against Macao casinos. Before that Jack Ma tried to critique the communist party and was also punisher for it. His company big IPO was stopped from happening iirc. Now he's falling in line too. One popular actress were literally deleted from CN internet and nobody knows why.

Plus Xi demands for a more " fair " wealth distribution. There's also a ban on extremely high skyscrapers, government demands to care more about city development instead of "vanity" projects. Basically everyone rich is scared right now. LOUIS VUITTON and Burberry stocks were down because of it too.

BTW Now they're teaching Xi eternal wisdom to 6 y.o. kids lol

That's likely not gonna happen ever because CN public will see it as a treason and not an ordinary jurisdiction change. Think if Apple went to China and paid taxes there. Besides, no matter where game is made, they still need to be approved to be sold on CN market. And CN market is way too big to be ignored. Our best bet is that they will have 2 versions like GirlsFrontline is doing with it official not so secret "secret" uncensor code. It's just those companies should grow some balls and Ignore CN fan base demands. GFL2 will have 3d models too, so let's wait and see how they will manage it.

All in all, I don't regret about spending money on GI, game kept me entertained for the whole year. It's just very unfortunate that CN Gacha's future looks pretty bleak right now because waifus basically created the whole market from 0.

Elysia get, rip all my legacy though, her stigmata set is pretty expensive to build, so I'm just gonna summon for the bow and hope some of her stigmata also drops.
The simplified currency and permanent lite are also great, got 2300 crystals for "missed rewards" so that was nice.
Kinda disappointed the pokemon event is gone, I loved fucking shit up with benares and husk.

All in all, I don't regret about spending money on GI, game kept me entertained for the whole year. It's just very unfortunate that CN Gacha's future looks pretty bleak right now because waifus basically created the whole market from 0.

The market is basically gonna eat itself with all the censorship of sexualized women that got Gacha games to where they are.

Just yesterday it was announced that US straightened its alliance with UK and Australia and now Australia is gonna buy some nuclear submarines from UK and US. A giant middle finger to EU and France, because before that Australia promised to buy said submarines from them. And it's all just to contain China. Well luckily, MHY and a few of the other bigger companies do have subsidiaries and branches in Japan and other places in the region. I think the "best" case scenario for us is that the CN market hurts itself so bad that it's no longer the most profitable region. At that point, it would actually make financial sense to shift production and focus to the other regions. Right now unfortunately CN dwarfs most other regions since not only are there more people playing, but they actually look at whaling in gacha as a status symbol instead of a point of shame like most other places.

I would definitely save for mobius if I wasn't already super deep into the pity, rolling for Elysia's bow is just a freebie for me at this point; the forge bow, while not amazing should be decent enough on her.

Anybody else hate Watatsumi island? I really liked all of the other islands, especially Seirai, but Watatsumi sucks a big fat one. I've been slowly working my way around with the puzzles and activities, but I lose interest after about 20 mins and just give up. The layout sucks, fighing the floaty guys over cliffs sucks, the positioning of the land enemies by waterfalls and cliffs is a shitty move. It feels like the entire Kokomi portion of the game was needlessly rushed and hobbled together. Her story, her island, her kit, just everything feels like it should have had an extra patch or two of TLC.

Cleared 11 with 3 stars lol Damn fat samurais. Probably needed some reactions, but I had only cryo in my team with no batteries.

Noelle, Jean and QiQi healing was OK.

Jean performed the best I think, despite being "naked" and the only healer in the 1st team. LVL90 with lvl 50 favonius sword and absolutely random arts at 12+ lvl Her skills are 1 1 3 lmao

QiQi just ran around like an idiot with her lvl 20 sword and 70 hero lvl So Noelle did the heavy lifting and was 2nd team star.

All in all, not gonna bother with improving my runs or something like that, but was nice knowing that I am somewhat ready for the potential "corrosive" events and challenges. The only thing I care tbh, Abyss doesn't mean anything to me. It's absolutely artificial and unnecessary.
