Ghostbusters Trailer 2

Did my part. Downvoted.

The problem with this shit is the fact that they tried to find the female equiv's of the original cast. They literally act as it is some homage to the original movie which it comes of as insulting.

My two main problems:
- The script doesn't seem nearly as witty as even Ghostbusters II. Probably some writers from the old "Real Ghostbusters" animated series could do a better job.
- The chemistry simply isn't there between the leads. I know some of the film is going to be them meeting for the first time and not being buddies but in a film like this the chemistry should be apparent even then.

What, you're not allowed to say ( stealth brag according to you lol ) why you disliked the vid?

I disliked the COD:Infinite trailer because I think MWR shouldnt be sold behind a paywall.

"I did my part"

Isn't just saying you disliked the vid. It makes you seem like a child.

For what its worth, I disliked the video too.

Reason being because I actually disliked it. Aint that what the function is there to be used for?

What? Fast and Furious has only been drawing people in because of the actors and the roles they portray.

Noone goes to see F&F for the cars dude.

Sure big names are less important these days, but the jokes here just dont seem funny.

F&F is a big franchise with big actors, but claiming that the concept is irrelevant is rather silly. Universal concepts for films are super important. If your film is rooted in a concept that is easily understood and absorbed by both American and Chinese audiences, it's going to do well.

Are you serious?

Yep

Please, it shouldn't be so hard if it was so obvious.

Rather, bragging about voting down the video? Striked out the disliking portion. I mean, I understand not liking it and whatnot (to each their own, yeah?), but what's the reason for the added "downvoted"?

There was a video shared around a few weeks ago about potential troubles behind the scenes (from a channel that usually covers this from Spiderman to BatmanvSuperman)
There was a Reddit post reported on that mentioned some issues with the movie and some plot points like the final ghost being a giant version of the logo...is that final ghost a giant version of the logo? Outside of the bow tie it sure does look like it
5:20 in this video if you're interested/don't mind being spoiled

Its the truth though.
You're missing your own unintentional joke.

The writing in this is just terrible. Leslie watches the crowd carry one of her partners, a female, and decides to do the same, and isn't caught and then wonders if it's maybe because she's a woman? Makes no sense.

Its the truth though.
It was a joke. You commented on the actors not 'being big' except for McCarthy. It fell flat like the stage dive.

Speaking of... I wonder if that bit was put in the trailer as like a direct statement to people who didn't like the first trailer. "don't know if it's because I'm a black... or a woman..."

I downvoted as well, not to make any specific point, but I didnt like it. And I think james is right to say that the better way to go about it would be to "pass the torch" and connect the original to this in a more meaningful way.

The fact they are women is irrelevant, I think it would be great if they kept the same cast on this, but introduced the original players in to segway into them.

Missed opportunity. Of course that is going by the trailer, I hope the final movie adresses this. I´ll read about it, because I wont be seeing this in theaters

Looks like it and looks shit.

the only difference is that you kinda know what the plot is going to be in the 2nd trailer.

Dunno why if you disliked the first trailer how you are going to like this one because it's all the same.

The only reason why the first trailer existed is to show the kind of personalities each team member has (especially through the jokes given).

If you don't like how the characters are in the first trailer, then you might have a hard time watching the movie.

I didn't mind it. I do think they are all overacting and too excited over everything. But it's not a dealbreaker for me

I still think Feig is a hypocrite. He says in old interviews he is tired of stereotypes in Hollywood and how women are treated as eye candy but then he basically instead of trying to remove stereotyping completely he acts like a child and says "Let's make a dumb eye candy man, that will show em!"

Janine was never dumb eye candy in the originals so I am not sure what kind of political statement Feig is trying to make with this movie but whatever it is it's not working, this movie does absolutely nothing for equality (if that's the point he is trying to make with it.)

Yeah, I still find this super weird.

Way better trailer but movie (the bad jokes/humor) still looks bad. Love how some of the ghosts look though.

Actually trying to poorly copy jokes/lines from the previous movie such as "mass hysteria" is the worst idea in a huge pile of bad ideas.

That was a much better cut together trailer and a bit funnier than the first but I'm still not feeling it.

Also I'm pretty sure this trailer confirms the reddit leak was true.

I dunno. Looks kinda boring. Kinda feel like the movie is "not for me". I think anyone who really, really likes Ghostbusters 2 and wants to see a modern reimagination of it might be excited though. Maybe? That's what it looks like to me.

Visually awesome.

I laughed.

I've never seen so many people mention how they downvoted a youtube video without it being the point of the thread.

Ghostbusters II was garbage compared to the first one. I would agree that the old cartoon writers could cook up something more entertaining than what we got. Perhaps my problem is that they're taking a concept or idea and trying to put a modern spin on it. Remake, reboot or even formulaic to a point-- whatever it is, to your point, the chemistry is just not there. The trailers try to make you feel good about what you're going to see, however it comes off as cheap cash in to a franchise that quite frankly isn't a cheap Hollywood comedy. Ghostbusters humor was found in the overall quirkiness of the each of the characters defects. Together, they were terrible but somehow together, they just clicked. Not getting that feeling at all from these horrible trailers.

I suppose as a fan, I expected more. Also for those hating on downvoting, opinions man.

That made me cringe the most
That and the Jaws reference. Worst thing you can do in a bad movie is a reference a better movie.

LOL like anyone gives a fuck that you clicked on the down arrow. Apparently liked Ghostbusters as a kid is a really big part of some peoples entire self-worth. Way to take a "stand" you guys are the real MVP.

Movie looks fine and I laughed plenty.

Good trailer, but just once can we get a mixed cast and not have a dumb race joke? The crowd surfing joke was cringe worthy.

Other than that, it looks good.

Is it too late for Feig to make Bridesmaids 2 instead? Hell, I'll take Spy 2 at this point.

Yeah, I'd much rather a Bridesmaids 2 than this. The first was great. A lot of low ball/toilet humour where it fitted in.

Ghosbusters had rather nuanced cheesy humour, this just looks like straight to the deep end of low balling.

Eh, I'll still watch it in theaters. The ghosts are a little "glowy" like someone said, but overall I think the visuals look great.

I wasn't really feeling this trailer until Hemsworth got possessed. I think he'll make a good villian. She really didn't have any dialogue, but McKinnon's character seemed the best fleshed out for some reason. I dunno.

Wasn't there a leak about the final ghost being a giant version of the ghost busters logo based off of graffiti in the sub way?
The final ghost sure does look like it.
(The leak talked about Chris Hemsworth getting possessed until the end and how the movie isn't very good)
At least the trailer is much better than the first

I wondered what that was. I was thinking they had brought back Stay Puft and he was all melty or something.

Trailer was a little bit less bad, still not gonna watch it.

Some of the youtube comments are way funnier than the trailer.
