Ah. The early episodes were pretty well written and often quite scary. Very fun back in the day for me personally. Check out "Knock, Knock" or "The Boogieman Cometh" if you ever get a chance.

The new trailer is better than Ghostbusters 2 all by itself. Ghostbusters 2 is terrible.

The problem with this shit is the fact that they tried to find the female equiv's of the original cast. They literally act as it is some homage to the original movie which it comes of as insulting.

Something is sexist when it feeds into pre-existing sexist tropes and stereotypes.

"Sexism is sexism" underplays things because it ignores tons of factors. Like, what's more sexist - that Weaver played a love interest turned damsel-in-distress who has almost zero agency in both films, or that Hemsworth is a likable, fun character who is proactive and nice, but also unintelligent and attractive? Like how often do you see a male character who is unintelligent and attractive, yet also pleasant and earnest? People seem to treat him like he belongs in the Alpha Betas.

Hope it's a good movie...but at the same time I'm kind of sour on the whole Ghostbusters 3 saga and I haven't been enjoying the trailers so far.

Yeah. What might be the biggest problem, that I'm seeing, is that they seem to be forcing it.

The whole thing feels very forced, but could still provide some harmless, light entertainment.

When one considers the tone and pacing of the original film, you realize that they just do not make movies like that anymore. The original has a real sense of place and time.

Basly rehashing stuff from first movie isn't really pandering. It feels like Feign just has no clue what made the original work and he's artifically transplanting stuff at random. It actually feels a lot like Batman vs Superman only that at last BvS had good bits in it. THis I'm not sure will.

Ooo, much better. Seems more in line with the original here. Still cringed a bit at the 'race thing' joke, but her whole character seems to just be playing to stereotypes so I guess it makes sense.

Oh my god, they're actually going ahead with having the villain literally be the ghost from the logo. Dumb as hell, but I'm down for that. I still really like a lot of the designs of the ghosts but I do get a bit of a "pixels" vibe from all the shots of them in the city. A lot of the jokes really fell flat, though. Some lines are okay but others are really cringeworthy.

And obviously the trailer's getting disliked into oblivion. Ever since this film was labelled as the "most disliked trailer on Youtube", it was doomed to that fate. I bet loads of people disliking don't even care about Ghostbusters at this point.
