Are you referring to the 100 mario challenge they sort of showed off? Which looks like a neat ... mini-game.
Because "Courses" is online stuff to download and makers is the level editor...I'm guessing? [EDIT --- Maybe not, might just be creators you like...so there might be another menu].
They didn't show anything else:

Maybe they just put out some levels online. Or haven't shown it all off yet and that's only one section as it does say "course world", but I dunno, might just because the middle is selected by default and they added "world."
Dunno about a whole campaign but they are including a bunch of levels already, among them the NWC finals. Plus there's several game modes that just have you play random levels from the online repository which they've probably stuffed with their own creations.
Yeah, I'm thinking there isn't, which is a bit of a shame imo. Guess they want to keep it and NSMB as separate as they can.
Would have been nice but getting level sharing right is way more important than this. Maybe they'll add it later like smash and mario kart.
That's true, I mean that's the whole game.
I don't think they'll add it if it's not in there from the start. It would be confusing with NSMB sort of feeling redundant. But that sort of limits Mario Maker's potential as a package to keep you playing and interested.
Good new levels to try out only come out for at certain rate and some people will want more nintendo quality levels from it.
Hopefully the level editor is simple enough that it's fun for most people to make content themselves to try - a problem with LBP with it requiring quite a lot of know-how to make something fun and playable with it. But official levels are always nice to showcase the game...even if it's a game about making levels from a long running series.
I'd really prefer it they combined both NSMB and Mario Maker going forward, obviously suits won't, till some more damage shows up.
