I'm loving the discussions but Alex is talking disproportionately. Like dominating all the conversation. I only listen to the Bombcast really so I don't have any context for who he is but I wish the core Bombcasters (Jeff, Brad, Patrick, Vinny, Dan I guess) we're talking the most.

So I gather that Alex ' So Gooood' Navarro is back for day 3?
His entire bit killed me.
Well this year was probably the worst year since I got back into gaming in 2006. A million people throw the "you have to expand your tastes" defense out but if you have to do it that often with many people it just shows that many audiences were underserved this year. Even the smaller games were sub par in aggregate in my opinion.
For me the only saving graces this year were The Thalos Principle and Bayonetta 2 on the big side and 80 Days on the small side.
Alex is just as much of a "Bombcaster" as all the others. He's fine.

Yeah, I haven't really even noticed that Alex is dominating the conversation, if that's something he's doing.
I didn't mean for that to sound mean - I guess he's just not registered in my brain as much as the others. I'm terrible for putting names to voices but I know and recognise all the others easily. Either way he talks too much.

If you consumed more of GiantBomb's content, besides just the Bombcast, then you'd have a much better grasp on the whole crew. He doesn't talk too much.

It's an extremely long Bioware RPG, the third in a series. I think people overestimate the interest in that game. Also, I'm getting more and more bummed out the more I play DA: I, there's just so many boring quests and I don't really like the main story

Did not expect to see Final Fantasy XIV represented in any way. Xavier Woods would've made me a fan for simply including it, but putting it as his #1 was completely unexpected and amazing. I think I'm in love.

No, I agree with you, the campaign has issues. But in this weak year, it still does enough right things to earn a spot on a top 10 list.
The real arguments don't usually appear before the last podcast (or the DLC discussion that one year).

I remember Alex saying he was a bit frustrated last year doing it over Skype and feeling like it was hard to voice his opinions, so maybe he's just making up for that.

Alex was the one who kept on pushing for Last of Us for GOTY. sure he lost battles (Mario 3D World) but he won the freaking war last year.

If you haven't played Alien Isolation, skip when they talk about it in the Day 3 podcast, unfortunately can't tell you the exact minute.
That video probably topped every video from 2011 for me, it was that good. Singstar was a great choice as well!
