Giant Bomb playing xbox one games

A lack of enthusiasm from what I'm used to from these guys, maybe because they did a voice over don't know I just think they came off sounding kind of bored, except for DR3.
Lol this is just the way GB are. I actually thought they were higher in on the games than I thought they'd be.

Yeah everything looked and sounded very ... very bland. The only game that got even a little excitement was DR3 and from what I was seeing ... I dunno seems like one of those play for 30 minutes, kill lots of mindless stuff, move to next game type of games. Like Dynasty Warriors

Crimson Dragon looks like exactly what I wnat it to be. Next-Gen(ish) PDO.

However you can definitely tell it was a 360 game at one point.

Jeff's vocabulary doesn't include the word enthusiasm. I trust his opinion on things but he isn't the type to get hyped up.

I know opinions and all but I dont see how you came to that one. Drew and Jeff were impressed with Forza, Brad was happy with DR3, and Jeff was saying he was liking the direction they were taking kinect. They were very neutral on Ryse and Crimson Dragon, but having watched there stuff for years its very par for the course.

People who think they sounded jaded there shouldn't watch the launch streams.

This. If people expect giddy excitement from these duders, you'll walk away disappointed.
It's just how Giantbomb is, they give it to you how they see it and they seem impervious to launch-day hype.

Which is all that matters. I hope Sony has some RPG's rolling in next year.

OT, but that is what is killing my enthusiasm for these new boxes. Nothing at all from Bethesda, Bioware, etc. this fall. A crap load of shooters, though, which is depressing.

Well....there is The Elder Scrolls Online.... Lol but seriously, it does suck that we don't have some solid RPG franchise or even a newcomer stepping into the launch window for either system.

Thanks OP. Love havin something to watch when I get back home from work on a Friday and crack open some beers.

I'm buying a PS4 and not an Xbox so I don't have any real interest in it. But I was impressed by a lot of what I saw. I'd definitely buy Forza, and Ryse even looks better than I expected. It looks basically like a God of War knockoff, obviously with a much more shallow combat system.

DR3 looks very boring to me and the part with fighting the psycho actually turned me off the most. The game didn't look fun there at all.

BF4 looked good, can't wait to play that. I've been playing it on PS3 and it runs like dogshit.

Dead Rising 3 looks surprisingly good. I'm glad they locked the framerate too, looks very smooth. I hope I can find an X1 at launch, my brother and I never pre-ordered one, just the PS4 :(

BF4 looks cool. The lean/ headtracking is pretty awesome.

Whats even crazier than the headtracking being pretty awesome, is that I automatically lean anyways while peeking around corners in FPS games! The more I hear about what developers are doing with Kinect the more excited I am about leaving this thing hooked up permanently. Screw it, I'm down with Kinect!

Edit: This may be blasphemous, but I'm actually considering getting Battlefield 4 for Xbox One over PS4 because of this leaning thing with Kinect. Resolution be damned!

they know most launch games suck , so its not surprising they weren't too high or low . good to hear kinect has potential , and the analog leaning in bf4 is making me reconsidering buying it for ps4 .

Damn.....suddenly very interested in Dead Rising. Maybe I can talk my gf into getting me an x1 for Christmas.

So you're 100% sure that the PS Eye don't offer that with BF4 on PS4? Seeing the leaning for the first time in this video i have no idea if the PS4 version has it, but it seems like this feature - Xbone version or not - no one knew of until today.

Good question...I searched for some info on this but couldn't find anything. I'm buying both systems so this would be valuable information since I'm already having a hard time deciding what to buy third party games for. Thanks for making my choice hard again! lol :)

They sounded excited about all but Ryse. Maybe I'll hold off on that until we get reviews. Dead Rising it is!

They really seemed to like the Kinect features too. Going to have to try Battlefield with that.

God, everything looked so utterly boring. Ryse was the only game that impressed me graphically, and Crimson Dragon seemed a lot less interesting than I was hoping.

There was a thread a month ago around gamescom

Them liking the kinect in BF4 was pretty shocking to me, and it also looked like it worked well.

I doubt any of the developers at DICE will answer your (on twitter) question, but it's worth a try.
It just seems odd that neither DICE or Microsoft has mentioned this feature. Have anyone seen anything about this from any of them as of today or this week? Pretty funny that we get to know about the feature from a 'news site'.

EDIT: gamescom thread huh? Ok then. I guess it was a BF4 thread, that would explain, atleast my, non-knowledge about the lean-feature :)

DR3 having no framerate problems Brad? Look at the footage Brad.

Er...I'm watching it on giantbomb and don't see any framerate problem...are you watching it on youtube? If so, all I'll say is Youtube be youtube. Pretty impressed that it is analog for the leaning....leaning for FPS has always been digital and thus not really useful, but analog? I think you'll definitely use that....as for the enthuiaism level, have you guys not listend to giant bomb? They don't roll like that...

I'm surprised at the Dead Rising 3 demo they were shown. I went to a preview event in the UK and we had the final build to play. There were story missions, psychos and so on.
