Is it bad that I assumed that chogidogs was talking about someone from this thread photoshopping dave's wife with a baby bump? :P

Didn't know that it was already known though. Guess I missed that.
 
is Jeff the guy who will be left behind while all his friends settle down and marry and get babies and stuff and he still plays videogames in his bedroom
 
I'm pretty sure he has like, an active social circle.

I dunno, I just imagine Jeff to be the sort of guy to enjoy boning but also enjoy having his own space, and not having anyone tell him what to do.

Isn't it? The idea of having to validate your existence never sat well with me. Unless you feel like dirt for not contributing something meaningful I see no reason to do anything more than to fulfill your base desires plus whatever other simple pleasures you enjoy. Try not to be a dick and all is fine with me. Might also just be a deadbeat's perspective on life.

Not everyone wants kids. Jeff is living the life. He has a house, an $80,000 car, has his dream job, owns tens of thousands of dollars worth of gaming items and I have a feeling he has a shit load in the bank too. If I can have that by 35 I'm doing alright.

Yeah, but that's the thing: then all your friends get married and have kids, and don't have time to hang out anymore and when they do all they talk about is their kids. :P

Just because friends get married and have kids the social life doesn't die. It changes. Being of a similar age to Jeff several of my core friends have kids etc. The social life adapts. That is all.

I think it's more about being the best at what they do rather than validation. Some people just have big dreams. Leaving behind a legacy would just be a bonus to achieving that goal.

Dave kind of announced it on Twitter when Rich Gallup announced the birth of his kid. As Dave put it, his was "still in Dev mode" (in response to Rich joking that his kid has released).
 
You guys want to have a contest this weekend where we all draw members Giant Bomb crew? We can give recognition to the best submissions! I bet it'd be a lot of fun.

If spending the weekend drawing the GB guys is your definition of fun then may I suggest you look long and hard into that mirror. Unless of course you are joking!

The last thing I would do is spend a weekend drawing some dude from a website. Jesus. Alternatives - play games, socialise, see girlfriend, go shopping, go to gym. All much better.

Come on, man, I'm not some kind of loser! My submissions would come from the many drawings of the Giant Bomb crew that I do during the week.
