Giant Bomb Thread #4: A thread of perceived slights

I wonder if they'll have gameplay at that event. And if they do, are they even allowed to say it's coming out for the next XBox and PS4?

If the video player being on the right is really bugging anyone, get an extension for your browser that lets you make CSS rules for specific urls, and make one for 'giantbomb.com/videos' containing this:

Code:
.av-video-player {
    float: left;
    margin: 20px 0;
}

.kubrick-info {
    float: right;
    padding-left: 20px;
    background-image: url('http://i.imgur.com/I7wQ2Nr.png');
}

That'll result in something like this:

The background-image (the faded background behind the title/info text) for .kubrick-info is just a mirrored version of the original one, otherwise you get a nasty hard edge on the left.

This was a very quick fix, and only applies to the full screen view (separate stylesheets are activated in response to the browser width), where the player position is probably most noticeable.

Or just embiggen it, like a non-crazy person.

Brad's leaving?!

Edit: Oh, it's a joke, right? You were being so serious about it I almost believed you for a minute there, Satan.

SnrkkNogiggle. No I'm totally serious. He's... hahah... he's leav.... BWAHAHAHA! I couldn't do it! I couldn't get through it! I'm sorry, it's just too funny! Haha! HAHAHAHADUH.

Didn't realise embiggen is no longer premium-only. Doesn't matter anyway, I rarely view videos on the website, but I saw a bunch of people complain about the player being on the right.

Do they not have an Upcoming box anymore? I bet that's because BRAD'S LEAVING GUYS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHDUH.

it's there but it seems to be broken and not switch to local time.

Am I missing some sort of inside joke? An Aliens game in 2013? It's shovelware. What Aliens game isn't.. why are games like this even covered and so many other decent games left alone.

On the one hand I'm so happy that Bradley May Cry continues to be a thing. On the other hand I'm getting so incredibly god damn frustrated at the fact that they are pretty much paying zero attention at visual cues or the game out right telling them what to do.

"I have no clue where to go right now"

I don't know, how about you fucking follow the pathway of lit flames towards that door?

It was a highly hyped release from a major studio.

I liked the parts where Brad said that taking damage while switching weapons was dumb because he stopped to switch weapons while being attacked, or the part where he ran around in circles screaming and refusing to hit a switch because enemies were sort of near him in the opposite direction.

They talk about other topics while only somewhat paying attention. This has been the protocol for so long, lighten up.

I don't know who was hyping it, but it looked like shit from the start. Any Alien related game that has you constantly shooting waves of aliens/human enemies is not worth a second of your attention.

That's the thing though. The media they released before the game came out showed a lot of slower non-shooting-waves-of-bugs stuff and made the aliens out to be way smarter. I don't think they ever even mentioned the human enemies at all before release.

oh right weird, visited there before but just noticed the new layout and it has a gamespot and cbs logo at the bottom of the page which ive never noticed before.

edit: whilst im being stupid, why oh why have they redesigned it to look like the verge? it looks rubbish.

Logos have been there since the sale last year.

Also Verge changed design back around CES, just like GB video player on the home page I think its great.

I set the GB homepage to "Zoom: 90%" in Chrome and now it looks a hell of a lot better to me. Weird that such a little tweak made that big a difference for me.

I have a bigass monitor so it looks fine to me. I do dislike the design though, which seems to be popular these days. Giant grid of blocks that's difficult to parse.

Ok guys, I've been out for 2 weeks. Any must see content that I missed? I will eventually see everything but I want to start with the good stuff.
