What i find most fascinating about GB threads on GAF is the amount of GB haters yet they continue to watch and follow GB just to hate some more. There is a guy that always shows up in the GBcast threads complaining about it.

There may or may not be too much of certain developers on GB, but I'd take a TNT like this or the one with Brad Muir over a normal multiplayer TNT every day of the week.
 
Man, after playing like 3 straight hours of Monaco with the same crew, I really want to see the guys do a TNT or a 4 person QL of it. It has a lot of potential to be up there with NSMBWii in terms of 4 player craziness.
 
Ok so the new player is shitty overall but something I noticed that really annoys me... If you play in HTML5 Full screen, when the videos ends there is no button to get out of full screen. If you happened to click on a second screen and lost focus at any point during the video you have to click on the video (which restarts it) and then hit escape.

You do know people can like one aspect of something without liking the other, right? Because someone dislikes Guy Fieri does not mean they dislike the Food network.
 
Why is their video sorting so fucked? You can finally see more than 10 videos now. However... in what fucking world is the quicklook for Bioshock Infinite considered the Latest video. And that is with both fields (cause I wanted the latest of their most popular videos. WTF?)
 
So the video player kind of sucks, yeah? Scrubbing has a delay of like 5 seconds, and whenever I try to resume a video after it's been paused for any decent length of time, it starts over at the beginning. Is it better in any particular browser? I'm using Chrome.
 
If I didn't have my iPad to use the Video Buddy app to watch their stuff I probably wouldn't watch much of their stuff. Player isn't great.
 
I am totally out of touch with the GB crew concerning the user submitted question about gamers that skip cutscenes.

I think cutscenes (outside of RPG's, perhaps!) are almost always unnecessary and lazy game design. I can't stand it when control is taken away from me as a player. It usually always takes me out of the experience.

These days games have far too many scripted sequences, cutscenes, and other hand holding bits that allow the game to appear more like a big budget hollywood production. Yet in my mind it is simply lazy game design and I tune out.

I can't wait to see next-gen titles that follow Minecraft and Day-Z's school of design, where each experience tells its own story by way of all the dynamic game systems working together without gameplay compromise, allowing maximum agency.

Dark Souls is another good example, it uses cutscenes to a minimum and mostly just to introduce boss characters. The game is immersive as hell.

Their response to the question was crazy.
 
I think their point was that you probably just shouldn't play games with cutscenes if you're going to be like "fuck it, skip this shit!" in a game like Tomb Raider that is fairly story based.

In my experience it was a third person shooter, but I guess that's because I skipped most of the cutscenes. :p

He wouldn't have many console games to choose from.

I can't blame anyone for skipping story in games, it's usually quite bad.
 
I can't fathom people skipping cutscenes at all. If the only thing I'm doing is shooting guys for about 10 hours, I might as well let the game tell me why. These days, narrative is part of the game and for me it almost always enhances the experience. Even a game like Tomb Raider, whose narrative is admittedly rather poor and full of stereotypes, becomes better with cutscenes that provide some context for the gameplay.

He'd be that kind of Dark Souls player who insists that the game has no story at all because he didn't bother with talking to NPCs, reading item descriptions or observing clues in the level architecture.

Cancelled my auto renew on the subscription, and it still re-subbed. Tried to contact support and nothing for days, fucking nothing.

I get it people are busy but you had no hesitation taking my money so at least, you know after 4 days someone could check the support emails.

TNT turned out great last night. For all the mockery and shit they give Dave Lang, his background as a developer is pretty fascinating. He's a cool guy and it was a cool stream.

"NAH SOME DUDE JUST DREW IT" was hilarious.

I think Ryan has handed over support duties to Rorie, but he's out sick.

I'm sure he'll get on it as soon as he sees your emails, he's a ridiculously hard worker. Or try tweeting him @frailgesture.
