I somewhat disagree with Jeff's answers about gamers championing sales numbers. If there's a game I enjoy I absolutely want it to sell gangbusters and I want the developer to make as much money as possible so that they're encouraged to make more of what I like. I always go back to Silicon Knights. Eternal Darkness was a fantastic game, sold like shit. What could have happened if ED was a success? Would we have gotten a shitty Too Human? Epic lawsuit? Bad X-Men game? Failed Kickstarter?
That said, the guy comes off as a sad sap and trying to advocate for what will surely be a forgettable FPS on a struggling handheld is kind of pathetic.

If you're in a B-tier Midwest city and aren't utterly terrified of black people, you can get absolutely buy a decent place in that range. Friend just paid 40K for a perfectly fine home with a finished basement in a middle class neighborhood.

I'm in a midwest suburb and 40k doesn't go very far. That's definitely not middle class here. It's less middle class within the city limits.

Matt Rorie is pretty bad at explaining what Hearthstone is or how to play the game for someone not really familiar with card games, or Magic (sorry Matt).
I've had several people who don't know shit about collectible card games inquire about it because of the Warcraft and World of Warcraft branding. I can usually refer people who want an introduction or who I want to introduce to a game to the GB QL without having to worry, but for this one, I'll definitely choose other videos/livestreams.
Not that there's a shortage of streams out there to direct them to.
Hearthstone's pretty popular on twitch even though it's in a fairly small, closed beta atm.

I don't even know why they're still in closed beta and only in NA, the interface looks polished, I haven't seen any of the bugs commonly associated with beta software watching quite a few streams, the market is already in place... can't be the servers with their years of experience running wow. Maybe the translations, which would be a shame.
I'm sure they have their internal schedules, but I really want to try it out for myself.

Yeah it looks like a simplified Magic, but still fun. Those sounds, chars, and icons made me want to re-sub to WoW.

As you pointed out Rorie did a better job later on explaining the game but even before then I had grasped the basics having never played a CCG before. I wouldn't worry so much about it not being an intro to card battles. Most of the terminology and ideas would seem familiar for someone interested in this because they had played WoW. At least they were for me.
Now I've signed up for the beta and wait with the rest of the world to get in. That looked super slick and scratched my WoW itch something fierce. God damn it.

Probably because he is unfamiliar with their set-up/how to QL in general. He didn't realize that Brad couldn't even read the effects on the cards, which would have helped him to naturally explain each effect in broad detail. It was a bit rough but hopefully people still got the gist of it.
