Some people (including myself) have been advocating this for months. It's part of why I stopped posting in that thread. We're trying to starve it to death.
I was originally against the idea, but I have come on board the last few months. No need for the split, in my opinion.

Looks like the final Backflips & Bioforge is coming Tuesday.

Also, Rorie is on a podcast. I really like listening to his podcasts, but it's a Gamespot one. Are they bearable?

Gamespot Gameplay is a pretty good podcast. Haven't listened to the one Matt is on yet, but I enjoy the podcast.

I'm happy with the content that each person is putting out... except for Ryan. I know he does hosting and stuff, and I've gotten the impression that he's lately been super busy planning his imminent wedding, but he seems to have a hell of a lot of missing reviews and he doesn't seem to take point in a lot of QLs, instead preferring to ride shotgun which requires less prep time.

But I also acknowledge that we have an incomplete picture of exactly what's going on in that office. I have little doubt that he subs in for Jeff in various meetings when Jeff's out of town or whatever.
I'd imagine right now Ryan's snowed under in E3 prep.

I used to be in event production, and it's no fucking joke. Even the smallest one day shows take a shit ton of coordination. Once spent an entire day emailing, on the phone and running around; just to lock down what wireless frequency our mics could use.

They also organise their own guests, which is a whole other clusterfuck that usually requires a dedicated producer.

At least he managed to avoid seeing that super guide asshole during world one.

I hate that fuckin guy. sitting there all smug and taunting me. I will not use you, super guide. no I will not.

There's a Super Guide?

Yeah, I saw him once or twice. What a dick.

I truly think people who don't think GB doesn't have enough content either have no other entertainment options or don't have a job. Because even if they do the minimum required work with zero QL's or other content, you're still looking at 8 hours between Unprofessional Fridays, the Bombcast, and TNT. Yeah, everything discussed or shown on those videos may not appeal to you, but guess what, not everything shown on Showtime or HBO appeals to me either, but I realize that my ten bucks a month doesn't entitle me to 100% satisfaction.

Yo daaaamn. This shit made me crack up hard, because it's true. I have no clue how you guys keep up with all this stuff. I only listen to the bombcast and watch UPF weekly. I barely have time for the quick looks, I may watch them when I hear people rave about certain ones. I got such a big backlog of GB content to watch. Sometimes I feel like it's too much content. Especially since I want to jump in on one of the DP endurance runs.

I think the one weak spot in their output lately is the lack of Red Dead Redemption coverage.

You are the best. Keep fighting the good fight.

These guys constant requests for hand-outs is getting irritating. Hopefully GB just ignore it.
Jeff even mentioned it was pretty strange of them doing a second crowdfund without completing the first yet. Now they've got a third? I highly doubt we'll see any content dedicated to it (aside from a passing mention on the Bombcast/TNT etc).

Also, I love Tim Schafer (Grim Fandango is my favourite game ever made), but when he said they're getting away from the publisher model, I hoped he had other ideas than just crowdfunding everything.

What was their 2nd Kickstarter?
I corrected my post, it was a Humble Bundle campaign to fund their annual 'amnesia fortnight', not an actual Kickstarter.

Constant handouts? They've done one Kickstarter and sold some of their games as a bundle. Games aren't made for cheap you know, and funding is hard to get from publishers ever more reluctant to make anything that isn't another AAA action game.

I can see this being one time when the GB staff is conflicted about bringing Brad Muir on. I can definitely see him wanting to pop up on GB stuff during the KS in order to publicize it, but GB generally avoids talking about any KSes while they're ongoing.

DKCR3D QL.

Warning: may be the most tragic thing you watch in a while.

I understand that talking and playing a game at the same time is a difficult task, but this QL was truly horrible to watch. Good platformer, in my opinion at least, is defined by the feel of flow that is generated by you constantly moving forward and jumping on / dodging the enemies while picking up all, or at least the most essential, collectibles. While I don't expect flawless runs through the levels, I'd expect them to even try doing that in small segments to show that it is possible and that the game can support different playstyles (again, not expecting them to show everything). In this particular QL I just feel Ryan is a sloppy player and that makes the game look bad as well.
