I say Birmingham when I live in Solihull. That is how it works around the world. Its easier to give people context and reference than being all high and mighty about particulars.

Sure, but people keep referencing the "Chiraq" episode of Vice as if he's going to be living in a gang neighbourhood.

Didn't why say something about more DMC this week? Though that's Brad content too...,

Vinny confirmed that they can't do more DMC this week when Brad asked on the podcast, sounds like stuff isn't off the truck yet or maybe some of the equipment needed was the stuff that was stolen?

I've no idea what's on the truck because I thought the stuff that would've been on the truck got stolen.

He said not Tuesday/Wednesday but maybe Thursday/Friday. Especially since they plan on doing TNT/Unprofessional Fridays before Patrick leaves one last time.

I find it a bit amusing he says Chicago when he really means a suburb. But I guess that's easier than just saying the name of some town that no one knows (like Petaluma or wherever Jeff and Ryan live).
Do you want him to say Chicagoland?

I live in the VA suburbs, but if anyone from out of town asks me where I'm from, I just tell them DC. It saves a lot of conversation.

Well, like I said, people seem to think he's moving into a crackhouse in the middle of the projects or something. He said he's not even moving to Chicago proper, iirc.

yeah, sometimes people ask me about crazy shit that goes down in Southeast, like I'm anywhere near it. I think Patrick said he'll be staying with Family in the suburbs temporarily, but does have plans to move into the city proper in the future.

I've begun to just say I live in X, which is close to Y.

Anyway, like I said, I only find this funny because everyone watched that Vice special and assumed Patrick is going to get shot.

Thank god, no more Klepek on the bombcast

Microsoft to Pull Complete Reversal on Xbox One DRM Policies

EDIT: Looks like this brought down the site too. Anyway, I got the tab open so here are the main points

The tug-of-war between Microsoft and Sony just got more interesting. Multiple sources inform me Microsoft will announce what amounts to a complete reversal on its DRM policies for Xbox One today.

What does this mean?

No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped

...

Of course, Xbox One is still $499 and PlayStation 4 is still $399. But today moves the needle.

I wonder if those are the same "sources" that told Patrick that Sony would go with the DRM? lol

Did he report on that with an actual news story? I only remember him and the crew saying they thought Sony would surely have similar DRM plans (which was a fair guess to make) on the podcast and on some videos talking casually, but I don't remember seeing an actual article about it go up.

He did not report on it. It's entirely possible Sony was considering DRM, but chose wisely.

"This is my ultimate attack... FINAL SCOOP"

And so one of the Internet's greatest writers has vanished in a blinding tweet of light, having made the ultimate scoop for the sake of his community. His name... was Klepek - a true. games. journalist.

Klepek is going Mark Henry on all of our asses - we think he's just gonna leave and then he splits some WIGS

Topic should be retitled: "Site's Down, Dave. Dave? Dave, did you let Exxy break the Interwebs again?"
