I think they use a Steam press account, so they already have everything.
Other than the podcast (which Jeff can host and Vinny can sub when he is off) and special events, they don't really need a host. Ryan was good at it so they used his talents but TNT, UPF, etc are just variations of guys on a couch playing games. A more relaxed atmosphere works as well. Before they moved out of the basement offices they never bothered with the formality are were more spontaneous. Only when they put a lot of money in to streaming gear did they get all serious.
I think Ryan dying on the same date as his father, one year previously, was a bigger coincidence.
Patrick and Jeff do but he said on tumblr that not all publishers put their games on it and they can also disappear if after a certain time. They are less free games and more a way to give press early/review copies

Yea... I know. I get this feeling like I've accepted it, and I just wish we could all just go back to being normal, but then I realize there's no going back..... I don't know if I could ever even watch another TNT or UPF, I can't imagine how the guys feel.

Man.. been on vacation and sorta been ignoring the internet for a week. Now that I'm home and have so much Giantbomb content to go through it's really sad what happened. My heart goes out to the staff at Giantbomb and Ryan's family. I'll miss the hell out of him and he had such a giant personality.

Did he fall asleep outside or something? That looks ridiculous, the kind of sunburn you can feel setting in. I had a similar burn over most of my body when I was participating in a, what turned out to be, a 5 hour inner tube float down a local river. I felt like I had the flu afterward.
That hurts to even look at! Daaamn.

It's the way the bit around the collar is a little bit redder just to highlight the contrast even more.

I've had some nasty sunburns, and that is going to be painful and look like hell for the next week.
Poor Brad. That pic is extra creepy for me since I basically have the same coloring as him, down to the white beard hairs. But I've lived in the US east coast for 10 years and never got sunburnt thanks to the mild Northern hemisphere sun. I wonder how long he was out in the sun for.
