:lol

#TeamPlaid makes a comeback.

Panel has not been sad, short of opening mention of Ryan.

But now it's QA time.

EDIT: So, uh, I guess there will be ER news at the Cards Without Humanity panel.

Also Vinny did the editing on the Prince playing basketball sketch on Chapelle's Show????

I'm sorry, if there's an Endurance Run it has to fit the following criteria:

1. It has to be funny.
2. It has to be easy.
3. It has to have very little grinding.

There is a perfect game that fits all three criteria:

Yakuza seemed like the perfect ER game.

Jeff should have never mentioned him and Vinny almost doing a ER for 3.

Yeah. That, and the (Ryan or Brad) plus Vinny Shenmue one that almost happened. There are certain games that seem perfect for an ER, and there are ones that fans want that would be terrible ER games (text heavy, brand new, whatever). Oh well. Who cares? They can call whatever they want an Endurance Run, but those days are long dead.

Unrelated to the current pax shenanigans but I hope Drew gives Europa Universalis IV a look when they get back. Think he might be able to get into the game unlike the others. If nothing else it might be fun to watch them destroy their country :D

Well that was enjoyable. Panel began with Jeff introducing everyone and then saying "let's give it up for Ryan Davis" which got a minute long standing ovation. Adam Boyes threw copies of The Last of Us like frisbees into the crowd, followed by a contest where the contestants twerked on Brad for exclusive unreleased Disney Infinity figures. Then the gang threw Infinity starter packs into the crowd, one of which smacked off the ceiling. Then John Drake made fun of the previous guests and got the Harmonix crew to make it rain $2 Xbox Live coupons. Q&A was awkward as usual but thankfully no sob stories from fans over Ryan's death. No idea how the whole thing comes off on video but I had fun tonight.

Maybe Adam Boyes should have tossed some of the copies of TLOU at the GB crew.

I'm kidding.

So most of it was crumby commercials for their friends in the industry? What, no Double Fine?!?!?

(i kid, i kid)

There's a lot of great videos over the years that people never watched (lots of juniors in this thread don't know how PAX is usually run, for example), so here's a classic golden oldie of Giant Bomb... where Ryan reveals that Brad probably suffers from Aspergers syndrome:

Real Heroes: Firefighter

This is in my personal top 30 Quick Looks.

Maybe like how they do E-MAILS on the bombcast, they should screen questions from people who make it to the panel in advance? I dunno how they'd do it, have a big hat for people to put in a slip of paper with their question as they wait in line outside whatever stupid-named theater the panel happens in?

"Endurance run question, nope. Ryan Davis question, nope. Is Brad leaving, nope." etc. etc.

Thanks for the summery! :)

i tend to fast forward the Q&A for all their panels. painful shit every year.

There are usually some interesting responses from the crew, and sometimes they even go off on their own 5 minute long tangent that has nothing to do with the questions - so I sit through it in case I miss anything.

I'd love to think you're just joking, messing around with us, or lying...

But year after year, people ask the stupidest stuff during their panels; people post the idiotic things in this thread and other GB threads; people post on this message board post sexist, racist, homophonic, and horrible things; people act like jerks.

I'm getting to the point where I just don't care about video games, the community, and the entire "artistic" (lol) medium.

Maybe I just need a break from anything video game related.

Sounds like you just need a break from people in general.
