I totally agree with what they were saying. It worked great on the DS but just did not work for me on the 360. I played the demo on xbox and immediately went and grabbed my DS.

Judging from the achievement/trophy difficulty, I might grab the DS version instead too.
 
No it is DX9 only for now. Such a shame too as there are some DX11 only features like tessellation which is great for graphics enhancement.

Edit: Sweet Witcher 2 is now DX11 enhanced! At first it was only using DX9. Awesome.

Not like DX11 is something new, either. Skyrim is November 2011 release use the damn hardware which is available.

So when Brad was talking about crafting a RC car in Rage and he mentioned bottle caps...and then Klepek mentioned the Nuka-Cola bottle caps from the fallout games.

Did Klepek actually say "NUCK-AH-Cola" as opposed to "NUKE-AH-Cola"?

Was he being cute or have I been pronouncing Nuka-Cola (NUKE-AH-Cola) wrong all these years?

Klepek is a FIB, you can be sure he pronounces everything wrong.

I noticed that too. Don't worry, it's without a shadow of a doubt NUKE-ah, not NUCK-ah.
 
Man I wish I could use a head set on PC or PS3 so I could be able to talk to people online while playing Portal 2. I've never heard anybody talking online outside of Xbox 360. Thank you Microsoft for bringing us such innovation I've never had anywhere else.

Alright Ryan I'll forgive you for the Portal 2 comment since you brought the real talk regarding Netflix on PS3 versus 360. One is better than the other and you don't need Live Gold to run it.

Patrick is good. I wouldn't mind if he became a regular, bombcast has needed a breath of fresh air for a while i've felt.
 
To Vinny, Mortal Kombat 9 couldn't be released in Japan in its current state. There's been a major crackdown on what they will allow at all in terms of gore. It would have to be seriously censored just to get a Cero Z rating, which are the games that stick way in the back, hidden from view behind the rows and rows of underage porn games.
 
Wait...was the Uncharted discussions something that really happened on the Bombcast?...I feel like that was a Weekend Confirmed conversation.

If you really want to be technical about it, they talked about it on the Bombcast weeks ago when the achievements attached to him got out.
 
This week bombcast was pretty damn good, Patrick was okay i don't get why anyone would hate him. If he shows up again i would have no problem with that.

What Patrick might lack in on-mic polish and self-control, he makes up for it by having really fucking good and nuanced taste in games.

I was trying to be a not-dick...but yeah, it sounded like something a FIB (I just learned this term) would say.

Can't expect much more than that from a FIB...no sir...


PS...I enjoyed Zojirushi bringing Klepek to the podcast. I could really taste the quality.

What a moronic statement. At this point it would be pretty insanely difficult to not release a console more powerful than those, which were released 5 years ago and probably spec'd out 7 years ago. Nice call, Ryan. Brilliant.

I disagree: every girl in MK has the same body type, a stupid, juvenile problem that DOA shares. At least in Soul Calibur there are girls who aren't just tits hanging out, such as Tali and Xianghuexpealadocious.
 
I thought Klepek would really annoy me but I was pleasantly surprised at how low profile he was. When he did speak up I found what he had to say valuable and funny.


I really loved the Portal 2 discussion, I totally related when they talked about forgetting the basics later on in the game with all the new elements they introduce. It's like "okay, I gotta figure out how to get up to that ledge, hmm maybe I can move the light bridge near by, then use the tractor beam and bounce off of the... oh wait I can just jump through a portal..."

yup. He seems like a good addition. Giantbomb has come a long way in a short time.
 
Loved the bombcast this week, would love to see Patrick become a regular on the bombcast, he gelled just right with the normal crew.
