//: Global Starcraft II League (GSL) - Blizzard Cup 2011

Those storms+forcefields were pretty much the best that any protoss has ever done, not enough. Muta/ling gives such sick map control against protoss that even when you are incredibly careless with units and poor at protecting your expos like Leenock was in that game its so fucking hard.

Walking past key tech structures that would've taken two seconds each to destroy...

I understand that naniwa was on a ticking clock and needed to do economic damage ASAP, but yeah, still bizarre.

I'm sure he was under the assumption that Leenock had rebuilt them elsewhere, and it certainly makes no sense that Leenock didn't.

Even when it may have looked Leenock was down, he still had more bases and a larger economy. He could have rebuilt tech structures and defended with the army he already had. That game was never really close.

man, shame its moletrap because the first two games were just fucking insane

doesn't make sense because building infestation and greater aspire takes ages.

anyway, leenock won because it was a zerg favor map, not that i have problem with it because protoss too maps that favor them in the gsl.

its so bad how stupid zerg wins have to be because its impossible to ever actually engage protoss armies. :( we're forced to basetrade as standard play.

Yeah storms + forcefields are actually so good against ling/baneling. That's why you see roach/hydra much more often.

failing to FF off banelings, blinking into banelings, walking zealots into banes.

but yeah he played perfect trololololol.

Naniwa lost with the blink into the banelings. If he had those 10 stalkers more, he would've won.
Nah. Leenock had 130 supply and ton of spread out bases when that happened. He would have still remaxed before Nani could destroy all the tech.

I love that this world is all about perspectives. I thought I dislike Moletrap.
But when he is paired with... the bald dude..everything becomes amazing. Moletrap, you are amazing.

IF he had those 10 stalkers, he might've saved the Mothership since the mutas died almost immediately after the Mothership.

If he saved the stalkers AND his mothership, which was very possible if not blinking into banelings, he could've certainly won

He FF'd off nearly 100% of the time, and when he walked the zealots into banelings it was because it was that or have them hit the templar because he had no way of stopping them then (no FFs left). The blink was the only tiny mistake he made and thats because he didn't know they were behind the spines. You have no idea how sick it is that he can storm then cast nearly perfect forcefields a split second later. You never ever see control like that because its fucking hard and you have nothing as zerg that demands that reaction time.

AND if Leenock fell asleep for like 5 minutes he definitely would have won!

Watching the replay, the mutas were still around after the mothership. 10 stalkers wouldn't have stopped them from killing it. 20 maybe. It still wouldn't have ended the game either way.

They did found the one human being in the world who has some chemistry with him, right? They should marry.

yeah its true zerg have no way to near instantly kill the entire protoss army with only spending energy.

cant argue against that.

Also naniwa never used the vortex, there was a time when every muta was sat near the mothership and he didnt use it, could have killed every single one right there.

Yeah pretty much this, it just seems he's a bit inexperienced with mothership play atm, however the progress he has made in Korea is remarkable, once he irons out a few issues like building placement of cannons (><) and learns mothership play and anti muta play a bit more he'll do much better. PvZ is by far his weakest match up, I want to see how his PvT is at the moment.

yeah :(

i was about to say maybe we should ask terran gaf how complicated they think it is to spam F and T in a small area. but apparently striek doesn't think protoss are rewarded for having better micro and that zerg apm is spent arranging overlords into pretty flowers.

then again, you could change that 'storm' picture to 'snipe' too. >_>
*cough*

I would say his anti-muta play was just fine. He had enough cannons to minimize base damage, and his storms killed most of the mutas.

That's true, he actually suffered much less damage from Mutas than Code S Protoss Players do (eg MC, Puzzle and Huk). So I'll take that back. His anti muta play was pretty good, needs to iron out a slight more issues though.

Epic reapers. I hope they get health regen soon.

Why would Nestea even do that? Just relax and take another base... free win against terran who loses first push.

is khaldor just retarded? that dude always says the losing player is doing a superb(or other adjective) job. like wtf man. nestea didn't make one good decision that entire game.

After he killed all those marines early i went to get breakfast because i knew it was over, wtf did he do to throw that away

They're both terrible. Moletrap just went "Nestea has no answer for this, he has nothing left...oh wait he just killed all of Polt's army."
