I'm in Minnesota. Sorry but no![]()
Is that a street lamp
That is a UFO.
Thanks for the heads up, did manage to check it out for a few minutes, but the sky is too cloudy to get a continuous view. Don´t have a telescope but it still is a nice view.
EDIT. Pic my brother took just now with his semi-DSLR cam.
EDIT 2. Current location is Monterrey, Mexico by the way.

:lol
It's freaking beautiful and you guys are missing out. I'm in Houston and the skies are pristine.
edit:
Was that pic of the moon, the detailed pic, was it from the telescope?Went outside to look at them. Such a beautiful thing.
Took out my telescope and tried to take pictures of it with my Galaxy Note 2. Since the moon wasn't full, I couldn't take a picture with both of them in the same image.
Was pretty hard to take a picture of Jupiter. Looks so much better in person. I really need a DSLR.
Somebody say Jupiter?

If so I need to get one.
I hate to break it to you, but Jupiter is supposed to be way bigger than the moon. It looks like your brother just got a picture of an airplane (those are smaller than the moon, obviously). Thanks for the heads up, did manage to check it out for a few minutes, but the sky is too cloudy to get a continuous view. Man it's beautiful, I've always wanted a telescope. But I forgot since I grew up, but damn if that ain't something else.Yeah. A fellow Gaffer who I know for years got me one for christmas (Celestron Nexstar 4SE) and it's amazing. I also got an extra kit that has many lenses and filters. The picture you see is with the largest lens (has the least "zoom" but you can see things clearer). Those two pictures was just by putting the camera lens on top of where you put your eye to see. There is an adapter for cameras which I have yet to use.
This one was taken about a month ago
PS: It looks much better in person, considering I'm using a cellphone camera
Thanks, much better than the other pics in the thread. No need to go outside now.
