The first Tomb Raider wasn't bad with the keyboard. Knew a lot of mates of mine who finished the game via keys.
Finished original Tomb Raider with a keyboard, definitely both doable and enjoyable.

Same here actually. It actually plays pretty well with a keyboard.
For controller support, I might be wrong, but I think the original game did have it. But since this is an ancient DOS game we are talking about, it doesn't play nice with modern USB controllers. I think you might need a gamepad profiller like JoyToKey.

Nah, I've played through TR 1 and 2 with keyboard (3,4,5 and 6 are still in my backlog) and it worked very well.I played TR1 with the keyboard. I wouldn't do it again. But then, I probably wouldn't play TR1 again full stop
I've tried TR 6 (Angel of Darkness) a little bit with keyboard but that one seems a little bit tricky because of the stupid camera controls with the mouse. But TR 1-5 are very good playable with a keyboard.

Only missed four sales while I was asleep. Lucky for me I didn't miss anything I wanted. Already have all the Tomb Raiders on steam so bring on 1997.

Does anyone know if the versions on sale are the "complete editions" of TR1-3? AFAIK there were some expansions for some of the older PC Tomb Raider games.
The expansions for the first two games can be legally downloaded for free (although the digital version of the TR2 expansion needs a savegame to access the secret level as just finding the secrets doesn't work). For some inexplicable reason the TR3 expansion is still retail only, which is unfortunate as it's easily the best expansion.

This. Really a shame that "The Lost Artifact" for TR3 is still retail only.
This is such an incredible idea. Sad I missed Sim City 2000. Watching the counter is hypnotic.
Forgot to post my original thought - I played Tomb Raider 1 with WASD, no problems at all. Probably easier than with the gamepad, it had a granularity to movement, and some thoughtful control quirks - you couldn't walk off a ledge, for instance, and your back hop gave you the perfect distance to run and long jump forward. There was also just enough tankiness to the movement controls that you could pretty much run freely, but you always felt in control.

Thanks for the infos. I guess I would have bought it anyway, but it's nice to know that you can get the 1&2 expansions for free.

* No expansions are included.
* Posters there seem to believe that Unfinished Business (TR1's expansion) and Golden Mask (TR2's expansion) are freely available. There are guides in the thread for how to make them work.
* The Lost Artifact (TR3's expansion) appears to be fully standalone and cannot be distributed.
That said, what I'm recounting here is what the posters in the thread *believe*. I can't be certain if they're correct or otherwise.

I'd be surprised if someone isn't in the corresponding GOG thread on GOG's forums about the sale tracking that info, but even if no one there is, almost positive you could get to-the-minute accuracy going by the posts; I imagine each new deal is commented about near-immediately there.

Pleasantly surprised to wake up and see that I didn't miss too much.
The first is quite playable. GOG also has an optional patch for playing the Win 95 version of the game with hardware acceleration instead of the Dos one (see the Carmageddon sub-forum for more info).
I was actually considering doing that with GAF posts, but it hadn't struck me that GOG's forums would be even more precise.

Don't think so. They've already offered it in the D&D bundle several times. It'll likely be some other game.
If you mean the CDDA tracks, they are included - just enable them in menu (they are disabled on default for some reason).

Random GoG question: Is there any way to set it so the "My Games" section only displays games I've bought and not, say, the free games that GoG threw in at sign up?
No offense to the free games, but they still outnumber the ones that I've purchased and it just makes an otherwise cool idea "a virtual game shelf" where I can plot my purchases look stupid to me.
I get you can move them around manually...though that seems to reboot when you buy something new...I just don't want a game like, say, "Teen Agent" in there at all.

Torment was in the last gimmicky sale, and for quite a bit cheaper than the bundle usually is. All the D&D games were 80% in that sale, and you could just buy the ones you want instead of having to buy all of them to get the best deal.
