I am sad that there isn't a Dave & Busters in my city. Look at all the fun these models are having:
Obviously they are laughing at the girl all the way on the right. Look how sad she looks

The problem with the water method is far too many bathroom stops.
going into a bar for the first time at 21 is such an alien concept to me...
states are weird
DAYUM NUCKA!
This guy invented a way to get drinks without paying taxes. The state HATES him.

This. Space your drinks out. 2 drinks, then a glass of water. Be funny and say it's a glass of vodka -This joke may or may not get you laid.
Hey my 21st is tomorrow, *high five*
I'm going down to Atlantic City to gamble and fuck shit up. I'm very much so looking forward to it lol
Just be cool and don't act like a creep. Thats all there is too it really. It can seem daunting at first but its really not a big deal.

Nah.
It's whiskey, liqueur (Baileys or Kahlua) and cream.
Delish.
It's a shot most girls love in my area. It's not bad tasting, either.
OR just nurse a drink for extra long when you feel like the buzz is kicking in.
Harrah's to sleep, but I'm thinking of going to Revel. I've been there once and I like the atmosphere of the casino.Nice, AC is always always a good time. Where you going?
Hopefully I don't lose too much money, but I've already given myself a limit. And happy birthday to you too man!Haha if I was still in STL, I'd def be out on the casino boats. But I'm away for college and the only places to gamble here are sketchy reservations haha. But happy birthday!

Well the H20 is more for preventing dehydration and the hangover the next day, but the most important part to take away from my plan is the glass of vodka joke.
Seriously, it's a panty dropper.
It hasn't worked once. OP will be disappointed.
They seem to be privy to the uh.. 'fireball' in these parts. Tastes like cinnamon.. Thanks for the education.
Fireball is popular everywhere. Not my thing, but it's probably the most advertised shot around.
You live in NYC and you consider 20 bucks expensive?
Bro, you tip once and never tip again. Cheaper than tipping constantly.
Trust me![]()
Tip double or more on your first order, especially if it's anything complicated. The bartender will be your friend and will probably serve you quicker for future orders. Keep tipping at least a dollar for a beer or easy drink, two for mixed drinks.
It's just the evolution of the highly flavored shot. When I was young it was jaeger.
It boggles my mind that when someone asks for advice to go to a bar, only for a dude to come in to tell us all about how much he hates it and how they're terrible because REASONS. No one cares, dude. Why come into a thread about bars if you don't like em?
I'm trying to lower his expectations because he's never been to them and will be sitting there waiting for the fun to happen.

I tip $1 per drink. $2 if the drink is cray.

If you have to ask about what you need to do at a bar, you're probably not ready for going to a bar.
Also its 10x better to go with friends. If you're going alone, I hope you're an extrovert or at least one who can easily start conversations. Otherwise you'll probably be bored and miserable. That is until you get drunk enough to be extroverted.
Protip: Bacardi & Cola with lime is the gentleman's choice.

151 + Coke or bust.
Quite the assumption there. Dude was just asking for advice, no need to derail that into "bars are boring".
So what should I expect? What are some of your bar experiences?
I don't even make big money like that, but I feel like I save when I tip early, that way I can get my drank on and not worry about tipping again. Its also is a great conversation starter with a cute lady bartender. I usually get around 9-10 drinks, beer mixed with mixed drinks, maybe a shot here and there, and doing this makes my bar tab smaller.
Yeah they love some Fireball in Montana.
"OMG have you tried Fireball?? It tastes likes big red!!"
Wait, you're in Montana too?
If it's Bozeman, I can tell you what sucks and what doesn't. Probably won't join, meeting up with random GAFfers in real life is not my bag.
Are you trying to get him killed?
Hmm. This all makes sense then. I usually stop around 3 drinks give or take. But if you're drinking about 10 drinks a night then I see how $20 makes sense. Pays for itself since you're getting free drinks and the like.
And 10 drinks? You're gonna be a mess at the meetup. Don't try and make out with me or anything.
Make out with Jipan.
1. Walk up to bar.
2. Do you want to sit at the bar? (Y/N)
...If Y, then have a seat, wait for bartender to take your order.
...If N, lean on/near bar until bartender comes to take your order.
3. Order desired beverage. Bartender will tell you the cost for the drink.
4. Receive drink.
5. Pay the man/woman.
6. Be kind, tip your bartender! ($1 for a beer / shot, $2 for a cocktail is customary)
7. Enjoy your drink. Socialize.
8. Goto 1.
9. Repeat until broke / drunk / bored / escorted from premesis / have a chance to hook up with a hot young guy / girl / whatever (we don't judge here).
IMO, city bars skimp on the alcohol, which is why I end up getting 9-10 drinks.
It takes a bit of alcohol to get a good buzz in me.
So, for those of us across the pond, is american bar culture like British pub culture? All I have to go on is [Cheers Pic]
Yea I hate that shite. I just stop ordering from places like that and make them pour me waters and seltzer cranberries for the rest of the night.
Bozeman, yeah. I'd love some recommendations.
