Going to a casino tomorrow, but I'm not 21.

Here in my home state of Connecticut, you have to be 21 or older in order to enter the gambling area, not sure about other states. I have somewhat of a scruffy wanna be beard right now, would that be enough to fool the casino workers?

Also, what are you experiences in a casino.

Depends on what you look like and the casino.
You'll most likely be carded when cashing out though.

He's never been there. No, there's almost no chance you can hit the floor at Foxwoods or Mohegan without an ID. You can still go, just not gamble

A fake id might be enough to fool the workers.

You need id, how is this even a questions?

I've been to a casino before, just never attempted to try and getting it because I was 16 at the time. Now I look much older. And the person standing at the entrance never checked for ID

I just came back from Vegas and while it's a fun city, those gambling machines were probably the saddest things I've seen in a while. Everyone who was on one looked depressed and bored. Maybe I had a false impression of what they would be like, but it really very similar to the cheap stuff I see at gas stations. Stayed at the MGM if that helps any. The card tables seem to be more lively though.

Just make sure it's worth it. I went a few times before I was 21, but a friend of mine got caught once and lost his driver's license for six months. Which is fucking insane considering that is the same penalty for a DUI. I'm sure it varies state to state, but that's how it was in New Jersey.

Consider just making the drive to Turning Stone instead if you really need to gamble in a casino, it's 18 there.

Not sure Casinos are in the states, but the ones in Canada are pretty strict. It's not like shitty bar bouncers, they use machines to swipe and are pretty hard on it. Sounds pretty dumb to think you can get in on scruff alone. Maybe it's different in the US though.

I've been to casinos (even when I was 21 and youngish looking) and not been carded at all. I've been to other casinos (even very recently, and I'm almost 30 now) and been carded at every single damn table.

Conclusion: you might get lucky, but don't count on it.

Why risk anything? There could potentially be bad consequences. Just have a friend gamble for you.

I was in Vegas with someone who wasn't quite 21 yet and I would go to machines and play on his behalf if he asked.

They don't really check when you step on the floor, they will usually card you when you sit down at a table.

If you really want to pass, I think that dressing nicely will give you a better chance than anything else. Being in professional clothing gives the impression of age much more than being in a hoody with shitty facial hair.

I went a few times to some Casino before being 21 and was never asked for ID and the payments (if you won) were handled by a machine. So I did get to play.

But now that I'm 21, I get asked for ID even after checking in and I'm already playing. I guess it will depend.

Even if you can get in, even if you can sit at a table and play, you will get carded if you win. Just wait until you're 21.

I'm not going to gamble, just wanted to know how it is inside. I guess I won't risk it. There are plenty of other places to be entertained in a casino

Coming from someone who grew up in a casino town

Dont. Just wait, they are very fickle about day to day shit already, last thing you want to do is go through bullshit on the floor for something petty as age. If you want to walk the floor thats cool, but I would just be careful with that

visit whatever shows they got going on. You'll have plenty of time for gambling when the government says you are legally responsible enough to irresponsibly use your money.

I guess you might be able to walk the floor. I dont think I got carded on entry everywhere, but trust me, if you aren't going to play it isn't interesting.

I get carded at the door, at the table, at the cashout box, sometimes walking around the casino floor, when asking for drinks (this ones normal) and sometimes sitting at the machines. It's almost obnoxious how much it happens in Atlantic City. No way you get away with it

Okay people, let's play a game! Pool up, chips in everyone. My wager is as follows:

WAGER:
Mr. Gray matter won't even be able to enter at all. You're totally going to get caught beforehand.

I'll wager 500 imaginary GAF chips on that. Everyone gets 1000 chips each.

Everyone write a wager and bet an amount. Other people can bet on your wager if they don't want to write their own. If your wager comes true you get all the chips people bet on it.

If you have the most chips by the end, you win!

Who's for or against?

It really is. Sometimes it depends I went back there for my birthday (we stayed in tropicana since fam works there) and since the hotel, lobby and floor all blend to one, they don't check on the floor as often.

Everywhere else is pretty heavy. Being ID-less in Atlantic City is a level of hell I wouldn't wish on my enemies

Be prepared to stand in the corner with the other kids.

At least in Vegas that's what did to me when I was 20, at the Bellagio maybe? Couldn't even watch someone play a slot machine.

I don't think I've ever been carded at a casino*. You should be fine if you win less than $1200 in a sitting. At that point you have to fill out tax forms.

Just act like you belong and no one will care.

*in Vegas. Not sure what it's like anywhere else.

They're almost definitely not gonna let you through. It's POSSIBLE that you can get in, but highly improbably because the casinos get fined a shitload of money if minors are caught gambling. Like, an insane amount of money.

My friends and I tried this in Vegas one time when we were all 19. We had created outfits, practiced what we'd say, and even went to separate tables. One friend who dressed as a "european" student made it for about a minute before they asked for ID. My asian friend dressed as a "businessman" and made it for a good 5 minutes. I went all out and dressed like some stern, russian looking guy with long hair and shades. I kept silent and acted like I knew what was doing (had no fuckin clue). In the end I think I played for 15 minutes, then a pitboss came by and made me show an ID.

All in all, you won't get in trouble but they see this all the time and know how to spot you.

Edit: OTOH no one will even question you if you play slots though as long as you don't look "suspicious"

probably depends on the place. nobody carded me in vegas, but in windsor at mgm grand they scanned me up and down heh.

given how the universe works you will be doomed.

I just went to Foxwoods in CT last week and got carded multiple times. I'm pretty young looking though and most of my other friends didn't.

My wife was 29 at the time(looked younger though) and was playing that stupid giant wheel game. After playing for 10 minutes, the dealer(wheel spinner?) stopped the game and asked her for ID. At least twice a day during the trip she was being asked to show ID.

You might get lucky, but every table you sit down at, you run the risk of someone asking for ID.

This was in Atlantic City though, but I imagine most casinos are fairly strict.

Oh they won't card you at the door, they will just watch you on all cams, and nail you when you try to gamble. They don't fuck around at a casino.
