Honestly if it is really effecting you, go home. You aren't going to be much of an asset to your workplace if you are a zombie. Make something up if you have to.

Did this last week. Maybe it was 4 hours. I was fine except for a little lull at around 3. Just try and stand whenever you can. Drink soda. Bite your tongue really hard if you feel yourself dozing off.

Edit: Oh yeah, water is good. Can't sleep if you need to pee real bad.

I've had this happen and it's like goddamn I have to last 8 hours. Nap during lunch and find something to keep yourself occupied. Don't close your eyes.

I do this almost daily.

Your body will get used to it. Drink lots of water and stay active, don't let yourself slow down.

Drink black coffee. Not too much, not too little. Don't put milk in it. Just drink it black.

Cold water. Drink something like one cup every hour. Maybe even more.

Eat filling and satisfying food. Grain products, rice (rice cakes work too), potatoes, salads, foods rich in protein and fat.

Have a proper posture when sitting. Use a stool or something with no back support if you can.

Greetings from a fellow office worker. Accounting for lyfe, of course.

To some peeps in this thread: Getting 3 hours of sleep a night on a regular basis, really isn't good for your body. Your body needs to sleep to repair itself, and allow you to get a decent amount of REM.

I kind of go by the "get 6 hours" rule, although I've been known to get 9 on a rare occasion with napping. I used to hate sleep, but in my late 20's I'm beginning to see the its value.
