I played a CTF match

I don't know, its ok I guess. Feels really stiff.

I mean it's not exactly the same, but it feels similar to a degree. It always feels great out of the gate, but the more I play the more certain things annoy me (people probably blatantly having crosshairs on all the time, the wonky hitboxes, etc).
I can still admire the good work put into the mod though.
We recognize that the hit boxes feel weird to some, but we've recreated the same method used by the N64 game for hit detection. It's something we always discuss
As a modeler, Would be curious to see that!

I mean, I figured it was just ping issues layered on top of that. I wasn't complaining about the design decision, just the way it feels in practice. Maybe it feels better in LAN? I'll have to give it a try some time.
Suck a cock tease showing well remembered single player maps for a multiplayer only project
I want to install on my other drive but I can't change the install location?? Seems weird.
I click Find Servers and none pop up
Are there just no servers up?
I think there must be something wrong on my end, because all the localisation is dead as well. Basically every string in the game is #GE_whatever. I'll try using the installer, I did it the zip method.
Do you have an issue with the server browsers in other Source games (TF2, CS)?
I would have that problem from time to time when I lived at home. My solution was to just use a 3rd party site to find game servers (not sure if you can do it for GE:S) and connect directly through the console.
Is the music on Casino from the N64 game? It sounds really familiar, but I couldn't quite pin it down.
Either that, or they did such an excellent job matching the music with the N64 game, that I can't tell if it's a new song or not
Not sure which track you mean specifically, but all the music in the mod is the teams work, in some cases trying to best match the N64 game.
Is there no health packs? I can never find any
Game has a 50/50 chance of freezing after a map is loaded for me. Could there be something wrong with the install files if I got the preload installer?
I defragged my hdd due to someone's in-game advice and while that has certainly given my HDD a massive boost in speed it hasn't fixed the freeze issue. It does the typical Source hang where sound loops infinitely and nothing happens unless you force it to quit.
Apart from that it's fuckin great though.
It's not you, it's a bug that we're aware of. Did you by chance ALT+Tab at any point before the crash?
Yeah Alt-Tab seems to remove my mini map.
I'd hate to see it die off again. It's genuinely a good game. I wonder what could be done to help keep this thing thriving?

Having the same issue. Didn't alt+tab.

Tested on both Samsung EVO 512GB and WD Black 1TB.

It wouldn't hurt. We need modellers and animators. We get more of those, it would do wonders.More frequent updates?
I hope the mod team gets more volunteers to help with the project after it just got so much good publicity.
It's a Source issue, yell at GabeN to fix it... no really, please do.
If I could yell at Gabe it would not about about this.
How many of you have run into speed hackers? I have seen three now.

Priorities, I understand
(I'd yell at him about Hl3 first, then fixing Source)

What make you say speed hackers? It might just be people who are strafe running, which makes you run much faster than normal running.
