I could appreciate and enjoy how much of a weirdo Cage is in this movie because I saw it back before I realized he's a fucking weirdo in all of his movies.

The original is better. It's very much a B-movie, H. B. Halicki plays the main character and also does all the stunts in the Mustang. He also directed it. At one point in the movie he loses control and takes out a light pole. Dude probably rolled over in his grave when the remake did that CG jump. I'll watch the Cage version every once in a while, but if you haven't seen the original get to it!!

+1. The original is great, watching him tear though Long Beach and Carson. His other finished movie The Junkman is also pretty good, though a bit of a step down.
