Delerious and Raw come to mind, but those are early eighties.

I don't think Michael J. Fox and Eddie Murphy were in there prime in the early nineties. You probably want early to mid eighties.

These quotes will lead you to the correct answer:

MY MOP!!!!!!
YOU'RE SO STUPID!!!
Supplies.
YOU FOUND THE MARBLE IN THE OATMEAL
They're really mad now!
You don't know the dooey decimal system?
Badgers?! Badgers!? We don't need no stinking badgers!!

Funny Farm.

Chevy Chase's last good non-Vacation movie.

And a second vote for the Burbs. Probably one of my top three favorite comedies of all time.

Speaking of Chevy Chase, does "Fletch" still stand up? I haven't watched it in 15 years. To me, that was the pinnacle of his career.

Gotta go with the old standard:

I'm in the mood for some... anything from Eddie Murphy and Michael J Fox is a good start.

Not from late 80s or early 90s, but Bowfinger is hilarious. A lot of people have never seen it. Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin.

Like half of the movies mentioned here are from the mid 80s.

The 'burbs FTW!

The 'Burbs, Raising Arizona, Big and Serial Mom, as people have pointed out, are just really grand. A personal favorite (and, on many levels, guilty pleasure, since it's not that good) is "Folks!" with Tom Selleck.
