Sharks try to eat you anyway. Makes no difference if they're undead.

Yeah, but normal sharks will only go after humans if curious or if they think you look like a seal. Undead sharks want your brains.

cincinnati, ohio downtown would be great fun. With our plethora of bums, and douche bags turned zombie....well it would be a fun city.

Ive had a few zombie dreams... some of them were immediate while others were the events leading up to total apocalypse (where its just a handful of survivors)...

Costco sounded like a good place. Id probably try to hide in a grocery store or something.

I have them pretty often somehow. They're usually pretty awesome, despite being chased by a fuckload of zombies. I don't know why my brain likes the zombie apocalypse concept so much.

Given that I have enough supplies for a good while, a lighthouse would be ideal. As a last resort I could move everything up to the top of the tower and close off/defend the stairs. One way in, one way out. They come up the stairs at whatever speed but only in ones or twos as a line. Easily manageable and defensible.

I agree with The Walking Dead. A prison is a great setup. By the time I get there most if not all the prisoners will be dead, gone, or zombies. If they are zombies, they will probably be in cells. Easy pickings. There are multiple buildings, large Yard for agriculture and tents if needed. Chain link fences (usually multiple) all around that could be foritified. And if you're lucky, weapons left behind.

Someone here is a Max Brooks fan I take it.

*Taps nose.*

They have food supplies for incredibly long stay, you can haul fish up in nets and the only thing you have to really worry about it knowing how to fix malfunctions on the rig so you can keep power. Pretty much a self-sustaining environement for a very long time.

FSU already has a zombie outbreak going on right now if that counts.

Zombies wear headbands and survivors hide nerf guns in their backpacks. It's common to see small groups of people being chased and falling over crap around campus. :lol

When I am in jury duty.

The last time I had it and had to serve we had the right mix of people to make it out I though. We had the tough old man, the street smart younger guy, the computer nerd, the old lady, the war vet, the farmer.. More but the whole time I couldn't even concentrate on the lame trial, I just kept thinking about how we would do in a zombie outbreak.

I have this kind of morbid dream of wanting to experience a zombie-apocalypse in real life.
Where there would only be me, some friends, and a few other survivors around the world.
Just doing what you can to survive while fending off zombies with what weapons you can get your hands on in world gone to hell.

Kind of like I am legend or 28 days later.

You're not alone

Up North has lots of great places to go to be safe from zombie apocalypses. Just so much wide open space with not much population density. There never would be enough zombies in such an area to amass any major threat and the open country just makes it easy to get away.

And not to mention everyone in those areas has guns due to heavy popularity of hunting.

Wasn't salt water corrossion a really big negative for the oil rig? Seems like it would need a really big crew & a ton of expertise to run smoothly.

Other than that, a time travel device :P Or become an Portable EMH, since Star Trek has been mentioned.
