The GOAT.

Nope. This is on all the time while i'm trying to asleep and it always wakes me up. Can't stand that guy's voice.

Pretty much all television. I don't know how people can enjoy the endless tropes and laugh tracks thrown at them nonstop.

Agents of Shield, cause that show is an absolute bore. Total snooze fest, not even 1 redeemable aspect beyond helping you get to bed at night.

Adventure Time has been my go-to since I started watching it last year. I'm 37, so that might seem a little weird, but that show is great bed-time material.

The Twilight Zone
Absolutely.

I like this one for several reasons:
- the opening credits in most of the seasons has that dreamy harp playing.
- it has that classic "old television show" sound to it.. reminds me of childhood when local TV stations played a lot more syndicated TV shows from the 50s & 60s. Oddly comforting.
- the actors & actresses' voices were so soooooothing back then.

(I'd say MST3k, and I still sleep to it a ton - at least a few nights per week - but sometimes the screams of "MOVIE SIIIIIGN!" would awaken me.)

Yes sir.

MST3K is another go-to for me. Usually Joel episodes.

Haven't there been a number of studies that show doing stuff like watching TV or spending significant time right before bed looking at electronic screens can heavily impact the quality of your sleep?

Wife and I got rid of the TV years ago in the bedroom, maybe its just psychological but I feel I sleep a lot better without it.

Mine is Xena. Haven't finished an episode in a year but Netflix thinks I have seen them all. Watch it using the Wii Netflix and luckily it doesn't do that autoplay.

Nature documentaries, preferably David Attenborough ones. Quite a few on Netflix, and they seem to be adding more all the time.

I think HGTV is perfect for this...

Shows like Property Virgins and House Hunters are perfect to doze off too.

Something about the music they use on those shows, it just emits calm and relaxing.

Mad Men.

I like the show but my God, I lack the patience for it. 2min spent getting in the car, 3min spent typing something, etc.

King of the Hill as long as it's not a Peggy or Hank's dad episode.

Documentaries you've already seen, because they're too interesting and a waste to sleep through the first time.

Twilight Zone? Really?! The stories of a messed up world causing anxiety and screwing folks over is calming?

It's anime, but:
Mushishi.
Seriously.
Call it relaxing, call it boring, all i know is that if i need to sleep, 20min of Mushishi will do the trick, pronto.
