Good Turn Based RPG for Android?

New job means a long train ride everyday and I would love an epic RPG to play on my phone. Note I don't own any handheld consoles so this is my only bet. It's also been years since I played a big RPG.

Anyone know any good ones? Looking through the app store by myself is a mess, so many games and no idea what's good or not. I love games like Chrono Trigger and Breath of Fire. I know there are final fantasy games, but an original RPG made just for Android would be cool. Or perhaps a hidden gem of an old snes port that isn't really known.

Aside from SquareEnix's ports, Kemco's RPGs are a decent start. None are amazing, but they are all solid at what they do.

I'd recommend The World Ends With You, but it's not turn-based, and it may not get updated again lol. But you should keep that in mind if you haven't played it.

For turn based...I second Kemco's games, check out Symphony of Eternity, it's only $2.99 right now!

edit: if you haven't played any of the FF games that are on there, though, they're all pretty good, and some are based on the 3D DS ones. There's also some Dragon Quests, and while not turn based, The Bard's Tale is really fun.

edit2: Also, check out the Gurk games. They're pretty nift real old school turn based RPGs. They don't look like much, and they're not really long or anything, but they are pretty fun. Although they're a biiit older in design than SNES jrpg classics.

I really liked the DS remake of Final Fantasy IV.
Asuming the Android version is basically a better looking port (or at least that's what it looks like in the video I've seen) it should be worth to check out.

Also, I've never played them but I've hear good things about the "Chaos Rings" franchise. It's a mobile exclusive IP from Square, and it seems to have some decent production values

The Chaos Rings games are pretty good. Very Square.

Personally, I've gone to Shadowrun and XCOM for my turn-based fix.

Banner Saga is going to blow your fucking mind, man. Try Terra Battles, too! The Walking Dead Assault is a great RTS name.

I'm not sure if KotOR fits your definition of "turn based," but it's definitely worth a look. Easily one of the best RPGs.

There's this series of games called Gurk that I think are pretty fun. They're more like 8-bit rpgs than some of the other games that people are recommending. The first one is free (I think) and the 2nd is a buck. I haven't played the 3rd one yet, but it looks like the games continue to improve.
