Wow... that Gamestop quote is just.
Yikes.
There's a good bunch of things to criticise in this game that has been cut back for PD's new vision, but Tag Heuer complaining is really fucking low on that list if you ask nearly anyone.

Nice, not many reviews out but there's already some really upset people in here.
This thread is going to be glorious.
My prediction is still for high 70's, low 80's metascore. My copy is arriving today.

I reckon the MC score will be similar to Forza 7 tbh.
If its in the 70's, there will be all out war.
wow @ that headline 😲 I thought Sony money was so big that almost no outlets would call them out on their BS with this. They obviously need more people to sub to PS+ so theyre basically trying to force it with their biggest franchise.![]()
They should try making one tuned for the particular type of racing game fan that I am next - one who likes playing Gran Turismo, but not online.
You know - like Gran Turismo 1, 2, 3, 4, GTPSP, 5 and 6.
People Always want Games/Series to evolve. Online is the Logical current Evolution for racers, and i say that AS someone who plays SP most of the time. But maybe after 7+ Games you should Change the Formula. I was positively surprised by the Demo and it got me to buy the Game.
IGN Review Editor's Note said:Sony supplied a review copy of Gran Turismo Sport over the weekend but, until today, the servers have been unavailable for most of that time. Since the game appears to require connection to the servers to use any mode except Arcade Mode weve been unable to progress through the solo campaign normally (or join multiplayer races). A partially-completed save game provided by Sony allowed us to test drive most of these otherwise inaccessible single-player modes while the servers were out of action, but we still want to make more regular progress through the game under normal consumer conditions to build a more informed assessment of typical progression and the games economy.
I read that there is a demo for this. I couldn't find it in the playstation store. Is it there?

The SP is downgraded because it is not the Focus. They are transitioning this into a GaaS with Always online. As a 90% SP Player I will try it, because the Demo was really good, even the SP stuff. They really nailed What they want to do.The online evolved but SP has been downgraded. It's an experiment and I feel a reason why this is not a numbered entry.
I expected GT is do better than what some on GAF said would be bad scores.
The truth is GT Sports biggest drawback is there is not enough of it because what is there is simply sublime. The driving, graphics, online, photography, sounds, car culture and education is all quality.
I can definitely see why Kaz is so happy with GTS, as are others, as from a perfectionist point of view it really is the most complete GT game, and its only going to grow from here.
Glad reviewers can also appreciate quality over quantity.

Thought I'd drop the GAF review predictions from the other thread in here too:
Looking only at the lead development platform metacritic scores, GAF had pCARS2 and FM7 exactly right.
LUKE REILLY via IGN said:I think what Im enjoying most about the online racing is the anticipation and excitement that comes from committing myself to a scheduled block of qualifying and racing but, other than cultivating my Sportsmanship Rating and Driver Rating (your speed and success, basically), Im not sure what the end game is. At least, not yet. Im not working up from karts or grassroots racing to racings upper ranks, here. Its just a trio of random races rotating through a handful of car classes and a pretty narrow buffet of circuits.
The earliest iteration (4 reviews) of Metacritic has popped up for GTS at 78 which is exactly in line with the predictions. I wonder if it'll change much.
It usually goes down, doesn't it? FM7 started at 93 or so???

The graph didnt match with 83 (pCARs 2) and 86 (Forza 7).Looking only at the lead development platform metacritic scores, GAF had pCARS2 and FM7 exactly right.
Sometimes you Just have to try it. I was one of the biggest haters after the ff13 Reveal because of the more action focused Combat and no classic Mode. I ended Up loving the Combat System in the Game, especially during the final portions/Post Game.I agree they nailed what they want to do...but what they want to do is not what some fans want to do.

83 http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/project-cars-2Both are right? pCARS 2 is 85 on Metacritic. Although the average of 85.8 from predictions could easily round up, I'd say it's still valid. Forza's 86 is consistent with the averages too.

It is weird some guys saying GTS is not like previous GTs.
Well I played all previous GTs except Prologue and PSP and when I played the Beta I was like it is exactly like previous GTs but more polished/enhanced.
PC had 19 reviews only.PS4 is not the lead development platform for pCARS2 also ...my info was from 1 week after FM7 release, both are down by one point, but that's more or less a rounding error in the gaf predictions.
19 Reviews is the key."Lead platform" is the key phrase: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/project-cars-2
78 metacritic)
Well that's fine I guess. I guessed it would be higher but not surprised nonetheless.
Polyphony Digital needs to release a statement on this TAG Heuer issue.
How? It is literally a shell of what Gran Turismo was built on. Sure what is there is great but there really isnt much there.

Gran Tourismo had become a mess. It diverged from its original focus, bloated its content using old assets that handled the same and hadn't progressed in any of the areas that mattered, it included strange elements that had nothing to do with racing (the moon).
The sales dwindled from what was one of the highest selling games on the platform. Now it feels like a fresh game again with clear direction and purpose at the expense of the bloat where everything is refined. They have one back to basics and focused on what is important, gameplay.

Nah its more like Gran Turismo distilled. Its the very essence of GT with features being fully realised, more than most other GT games.
I don't see GT Sport as a full on GT release. I can recognize its strengths and merits but that's not a game that will keep me invested
Maybe once in a while for an online race or 2, or maybe for some Photo Mode moments.
Obviously something went wrong during development and they faced delays. Still seems like a solid release but not of the same caliber like previous entries

PC had 19 reviews only.
41 for PS4.
19 Reviews is the key.
You can use the XB1 version with 19 Reviews too at 86.
The RPG-like nature of buying used cars, tuning them up and racing your way into new classes was the GT experience more than anything to me.
