What is the brand new thing in this game though? You know, the new big feature. V had the three protagonists. What is it here? It looks great, don't get me wrong, but everything I'm seeing so far, both trailers and screenshots.....it's mostly stuff we've seen before in GTA games.

The deep sea diving, the nature and hunting, and so on.

Yeah she doesn't look like a white Latina AT ALL. If you want to see a white Latina.. Look at many girls in Argentina or Chile.

She is a morena(brown skin). I could see Puerto Rican or Cuban for sure. She doesn't immediately strike me as colombian but its possible.

As for if it will be woke or anti woke..I don't think it will be either for the most part. but people will and already are finding ways to call it woke and pick the smallest things.

I think its going to be way more depth and complexity than 5 in general than just one new big feature. For example, Lucia is a fighter..it won't just be press 1 button to knock someone out this time, I hope.

What was the brand new thing in RDR2?
 
So I'm assuming that we'll play as Jason for the first couple hours or so, and then we play as both him and Lucia once the latter gets out of prison. Jason has much longer hair at the start of the trailer, so that's clueing me in a bit.

Just turn on motion flow then. You're not going to notice the input lag in a GTA game. 🤷‍♀️

You're eyes eventually adjust after a bit, especially if they use good frame syncing and motion blur.

But yes, we know, 60+ is always better.

Motion flow adds more input lag and causes artifacts. Input lag is noticeable, especially in a GTA like game where you have full control.

Modern TV's like OLED are not suitable for 30fps games because of lots of judder. 40fps would be an acceptable frame rate for GTA 6.

The hair change is probably dynamic like rdr2

If guess Lucia getting out of prison is probably the intro or could even be a new feature eg maybe if your character gets arrested now they spend some time in prison and you can only use the other one

Real-time weather system like in Days Gone, hopefully.



That, and building on the dynamic AI they started in RDR2 to make the world feel alive. All the time they've had, they should be able to exceed Days Gone here as well.

Oh yes! It better be.

Let's hope that not only fitness makes a return from SA, it sure seems like it will, but also melee combat. It actually was fun in SA and being able to learn new moves is great.

Don't know about others. My TV does 4k 60, but it's almost 10 years old. 30 looks fine on many games (not all). ND games, insomniac, SSM, R*, even most UE5 games look great at 30 with motion blur. I do agree modern TVs have more issues with it. But I have no plans to get one till the PS6 or if the TV start malfunctioning. It's still good as new!

I've never known this company to ever lie about some pre-release type thing like trailers. Generally, what you are seeing, is what will be in the game. Also note, 42 million in 11 years.....GTAVI trailer 2 is literally at 36 million views and it hasn't even been 24 hours.

I don't think folks know how massive this game is gong to be next year.

you dont even need to do that. ive been playing 30 fps games on my oled all gen and even on PCs the last year or so. The judder hes talking about is the effect you get when you constantly switch between 30 and 60 fps. You just start at 30 fps and you wont even notice the difference. Especially when some games like Spiderman and Ratchet feel ridiculously smooth.

It pushed the envelope so far that it will look horrible in motion on modern TV'S.

That ain't progress.

A scaled down version in terms density to make it in 40 or 60 would be a better option for current gen. More density for next gen.

What's the point of a great looking game in screenshots when it looks bad in motion?

The life-span (and re-release) of this game will span PS5, PS Pro, PS6, PS6 Pro, and possibly even PS7, so it makes complete sense to aim for max fidelity at the lowest refresh rate on current gen systems, I wouldn't be surprised if it has a VRR 40fps performance setting on PS5 Pro which might be a good sweet spot for now.

Looks really good, i want to see some gameplay vids, but i guess that will be next year, but as usual i'm happy to wait until it's out, which i'll have to do anyway as i'm on PC lol, the game will sell masses of copies and i expect it will be very GTA 5 like with the focus on MP in the long run, why would Rockstar change a winning strategy.
