ugh another arkham revolved Batman game shoot me now.

Was hoping for a new take.

It's a comic...

Eh, this is way less interesting since it's not the same artist, which is why I remember that graphic novel.

Batman #666 was a flash forward issue with a grown up Damian Wayne in the role of Batman.

OGN- original graphic novel

Batman #666 is the one shot where Damien is Batman over a dystopian Gotham. Not sure about further details.

An issue during his Batman run, Damien Wayne as Immortal Punisher Batman

latest

He did a future (alternate world?) issue from Batman 666, Damian was an adult and Batman.

Batman issue 666 was set in the future where Damian is Batman

Ah okay, thanks guys!

Seems like a strange artistic decision, but I loved Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on a Serious Earth, admittedly mostly on account of its gorgeous art, as I quickly discovered in later re-reads. So hopefully this could be good.

Oh dear... Arkham Asylum is one of the shittest Batman books I ever bought. Easily Morrison's worst work at the very least.

Hopefully this is what it sounds like and he's just trading on the name for some buzz about an otherwise unconnected story.

I'm so happy I couldn't disagree more.

I'm pumped. Arkham Asylum was a masterclass. Morrison's a Legend. A shame that McKean isn't involved, but I'm looking forward to it.

Off topic but I'm not big into comics and google doesn't help... Is Grant working on another occult comic like The Invisibles, Nameless etc.? Not much into super heroes but his stranger stuff has been life changing.

Same. I don't see this being wildly different from the first AA and Damian is no Bruce. Without the crazy art there's really no pull for me.

Good for Morrison doing something neat though. I'm sure people will enjoy it.

Without the original artist I'm not so sure about this. Morrison's Damian has easily been surpassed but who knows.

Some parts read a little clunky but his depiction of the Joker is underrated.

Imo, Arkham Asylum is way better than The Killing Joke.

The Killing Joke isn't a very good book honestly and even Moore is fairly derisive of it as a fairly hollow story with faintly misogynistic over-tones. It only really stands out for me on account of its fantastic final scene, but otherwise it's an incredibly hollow book.

Newsarama said:
"I hated the middle two," he joked. "I couldn't beat Mr. Freeze or Deathstroke and I smashed the controller against the wall, knowing I'd never be Batman."

Morrison said the first Arkham Asylum video game was one of the best games he ever played, and also praised Arkham Knight, saying those two games comprised two of the best Batman stories ever.

I guess having no boss battles paid off eventually.
