Gravity Rush 2 - New 10 minute video from PlayStation Access.

I absolutely love the art style in this game. It's so whimsical and fun looking. I'd never played the first game but the demo for GR2 was really cool. I'll pick this up at some point for sure.

I just saw the OP gif and decided nope. Going in as blind as I can now lol. We got transparent liquid orbs sons.

It's not so much the visual jump, which is crisper, so much as the performance increase. The frame rate is super steady, and the draw distance is much more impressive. So while it's true that you get a noticeable jump in graphical detail, the overall smoothness of the experience, and the scale of playing it on a normal TV are what really improve the game.

Plus it's much better (and easier) to control on the Dual Shock 4. I love the Vita, but for certain types of game those analogue sticks just aren't up to par. Sliding in particular is infinitely better using the triggers as opposed to the touch screen.

Just finished the first one and loved the core gameplay and game world but the rest was really disappointing(messy story and bland mission design).

Still getting the 2nd one day one...

I'm super excited to fly around on my PS4...

There was some special magic in that first game... can't wait to enjoy it again!!

Missed that $15 sale from a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm wondering if I should just get the first one at $30....

It's worth it, just the traversal alone in the game is great. In my opinion, a game where it feels good just to simply move around tends to be very promising. Then you have the charming character, music, and setting that all result in a pretty memorable experience. It's one of those games that imo, remind me why I love gaming, especially when they play around with unique concepts/powers. After all, no other game is gonna let you fly around and control gravity. (Well except for the sequel, but you know what I mean lol)

Sony's been posting a bunch of art and photomode screens at the GR instargram account

For the love of god, can some site in the UK please sell this game for a reasonable price! I'll bite at ÂŁ35, not the ÂŁ46 that everywhere is asking for.

Pretty much this except for the ÂŁ35. I wont pay a penny more than 40 quid for any game. I've looked on every site that I use with no luck.

I hope they set their expectations modestly because I can't imagine this selling very well.
But I really want this series to continue. There's nothing out there like it right now.

Playing the first one now, the game is just Nights / JSR levels of pure gameplay fun. Reminds me of the golden era of gaming...Haven't even beaten it and GR2 is already a preorder.

It is an absolute shame that this series was started on the dead-on-arrival Vita.

Also, thank god for an amnesia protagonist that actually still has a personality, thank GOD. Kat is legitimately charming just off dialogue alone, she feels like an actual person which is not something I was expecting at all.

Kat has one of the best personalities in last years of gaming, it's so cute, and as you say an "actual person".

Preordered!

I have the first one on Vita, but I'm probably going to pick up Remastered to hold me over until this comes out.

You convinced me lol! Going to download it tonight.

I generally am not fond of Sony's first party output, but Gravity Rush is something truly special. I loved what I've played of it on Vita. I should really pick up the PS4 version.

I wish Sony funded more games that are as unique as this series.
I disagree, Sony has some crazy games they published. F'n Tokyo Jungle, puppeteer, Tearaway and Dreams come from them! lol...

That gif in the OP really makes Kat seem like a superhero too. The little power up thing in the beginning and then the look of the water bubbles. Love Kat.

That sad moment when you can't find water in the demo we currently have. Or maybe there is water, but it doesn't matter, because the demo won't let you fly everywhere. :(

This DQVIII, RE7, Yakuza, and Tales of Berseria coming out within a week of each other is insane. I feel like I'm missing another Japanese game too.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8.

I love love love love love Gravity Rush 2 but I feel terrible that I can't justify getting the game at launch :(. I'm a bit down on cash at the moment and I can only pick up KH2.8 later this month (paid it off from trading in games).

If it wasn't $100, maybe closer to the $79 that the PSN is selling it for, I might consider jumping in but I might have to hold off on finishing Kat's adventure :(

KH2.8, Atelier Shallie Plus, Fate/EXTELLA, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers and Digimon World: Next Order too! It's absolutely fucking absurd, especially because I'm buying like... all of these.

The demo was really great. I agree with a thread I saw recently saying japanese games are coming really strong in the beginning of this year :)

Just finished the Remaster this week. My body is ready!

She is literally one of the best superheroes in videogames ever. Great upbeat attitude, strong sense of honour and loyalty, the best feeling of flying in a game ever and at the end of the first game she
transforms into a giant black panther
in order to stop the big bad. She's fuckin' awesome.

I played the demo and liked it , but is there a way to change the controls? Aiming felt imprecise and the camera disorientating at times.

I will be lifting innocent bystanders and dropping them into the void once again day one.

And while they fall i follow them all the way down to oblivion to see their suffering >:)

Motion controls while flying are turned on by default you can turn that off in the games settings if you want

i was gonna fall for the hype for this game TWICE, one with the remaster and one with GR2

i was going to buy the Remaster when it came out but i got busy with other games and forgot it

then i saw the hype for GR2 and saw few trailer and thought it looked cool so i put it on my list but then i tried that Demo, thank god i never bought the Remaster, it's god damn AWFUL, the gameplay is horribly unsatisfying

Gaf Please stop overhyping games, especially Sony Exclusives
