GRAW 360: full level video

snoopers

I am multitalented
I'm sorry in advance if it sounds like advertising, but I believe a lot of people was expecting this: video of the full GRAW's first level is up , bitches !

And please read the news before complaining about this or that, this is preview code. There was still a lot of flaws to be fixed.

phoenixdark> should work now !

Mine downloaded ... but when I play it in WMP, the visualizations turn on as though its audio.

Do I need some special codec for this?

Blim is sleeping right now, so I'll answer you: this is direct feed footage in SD.

This is standard definition?

Looks like HDTV is not required to see the benefits of next gen after all. ;)

Wow, just wow

Draw distance is awesome, levels are huge. Gameplay looks fun. Looks like a definite killer app

What TV was this taken from?

I love how you can take cover in this game and attack from those positions.

The level looks open too which is nice. Multiple routes to hit your objective!

yes? is that an agreement or a statement of disbelief, or....? believe me, i'll be buying the game day one, i just don't like saturating myself with too much media if i can avoid it...but so tempting.... :)

I'm reencoding the video right now, seems like I made a 60 fps vid by mistake (the game is 30 fps, so it's twice the weight for nothing). Should be around 150-200 Mo after this. And a LQ version is also on its way.

Well, seems like the servers hang out. It should be working in one hour or two, when Blim's up to fix it. Until then, you'd better use bittorrent.

Just buy this game already.

Game of the month in the upcoming issue of EGM.

After this video, I believe it.

I love the fluidity of everything, the simplification of controls. It actually reminds me more of Freedom Fighters than previous Tom Clancy tactical shooters. Very impressed.

And here I was going to sell my 360. Bad Gore! Bad.

If you've never tried Gamefly, use their free trial to get it.

I've just added another mirror (in the US) for the LQ version of the video. Also if you simply can't use bittorrent, then if you are logged in a "secret" mirror that should work very well all the time will be available.

looks amazing graphically. the lighting and shadows do it although i would have thought that 512 megs of ram would have helped with the textures.

what i miss? i just downloaded the video and didnt read this thread. *goes and reads* :lol eh. flaws could mean anything. i'd shit my pants if they upped the texture quality with that draw distance.

It's been said countless of times that this is a buggy/early preview build. :lol
Retail will have higher resolution textures.

seems like i'm watching an episode of 24 or something! sugoi!

looks really complex to play though!

Funny, because that's exactly how I felt like when I was playing: controlling a Jack Bauer and his jarheads. And that's awesome :D

But you're wrong about the complexity of the gameplay, it's actually quite intuitive. The tutorial is excellent to learn and master the basics quickly.

Hmm...the game looks great graphically (obviously), but what's the big deal with the gameplay? It looks like a fairly standard shooter with some extra squad controls and a few gimmicks (like the automated drone). Am I missing something big? Does the game become more complex later on?

Holy crap, that's exactly how I felt!

It had to be the music; it sounds so much like 24's.

Buy. This. Game.

Single player is good, especially if you like racking up achievement shit, but multiplayer is totally golden. I swear, one morning, while I was playing the developers with other members of EGM, aspects of the multiplayer including, but not limited to, the radio (Xbox Live) banter and infrared mode with all its trails, made this game look like actual footage I've seen from the gulf war. Brutality and murder filtered through the abstraction of code and semantic abuse. It was truly something next gen.

Fuck. I will play this game with all y'allz. Bring it.

dont watch. that GRAW gace me a virus.

Just how linear is it Che and whats the AI like?
is it standard GR with a next gen gloss or are there advancments in the core gameplay?

single-player is awesome, but it can be predictable through trial and error.

multiplayer feels so totally different, especially the multiplayer since you can set up 2-16 player co-op games totally customized to your whims. one game we like to do is one where we have a handful of player characters go up against an endless spawn storm of AI enemies on a map where we have to protect a spot. with the over shoulder view, it really does feel like RE4 where you're shooting a horde of zombies as enemies keep spawning and storming your location. you win the level by staying alive and holding the position for 10 or 15 minutes and there are so many enemies you eventually run out of ammo and have to run out to these corpses and grab enemy guns and ammo just to stay alive and defend your position. IT'S FUCKING AWESOME.

single-player is cool, but you kids have no fucking idea how good this game is on xbox live. oh, and btw, you can do everything i described totally offline in single-player, or split-screen with two players. god bless and good night.

although interesting, it does sound like the 'hold the bridge' level in GR2.

So the AI still sucks yes?

It sucks a lot less than you think in co-op. Especially when you set it to '1 life each' and it's tense as hell because if you die, you're watching for the next 8 minutes. The AI is good enough to stress you out. And it seems legitimately fallible as you can flank them, catch them totally unawares and shoot them in the fucking neck. Anyway, co-op online is a ton of fun, and being able to do it with 15 other people is a blast.

Don't hate. Celebrate.

Co-op is 16 players working together at the same time against the CPU!!?
