Black Sabbath - Sabotage

Hole In the Sky -> Don't Start (Too Late) -> Symptom of the Universe

I've always considered this to be a suite anyway.

I love the Dirty Harry - FGI - El Mañana sequence, but my favorite is this one from Hand's Like Houses first album:

3. This Ain't No Place for Animals

4. Spineless Crow (my favorite)

5. Starving to Death In the Belly of the Whale

dredg - el cielo | It Only Took a Day -> Whoa is Me -> The Canyon Behind Her

Radiohead - Kid A | Everything in it's Right Place -> Kid A -> The National Anthem

OH GOD YES, I was going to post El Cielo but totally forgot. "The Canyon Behind Her" is such a great closer, the last part always manages to make me emotional.

I totally agree on the closer part. That's always what cements the album as my number one favorite. The Canyon Behind Her is just otherworldly and blows me away every time I hear it, especially after listening to the entire album in one sitting

Aesop Rock - Labor Days
Save Yourself ---> Flashflood ---> No Regrets

Doomtree - No Kings
Little Mercy ---> The Grand Experiment ---> String Theory ---> Team the Best Team

Boston - S/T
More than a Feeling ---> Peace of Mind ---> Foreplay/Long Time ---> Rock & Roll Band

I can't believe the band that did "The Canyon Behind Her" would release Chuckles and Mr Wheezy or whatever the fuck that album's called. Ugh.

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours has some of one of the best lineups yet to be mentioned.

Second Hand News- Dreams - Never Going Back Again - Don't Stop - Go Your Own Way, then they fuck it up with Songbird, but continue with The Chain and You Make Loving Fun.

Seven out of eight isn't bad at all.

Agree with a lot of these.

I'll add:

Röyksopp - Melody A.M.
So Easy > Eple > Sparks (> In Space > Poor Leno)

That's all I got. Though you could also pick any three songs from Local H's As Good As Dead, for me.

Seriously. My cousin, one of my best friends and I were really excited to finally hear that album after The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion was so good... We heard it and just got obliterated drunk on 4 loco that night. That album is just utter garbage. I can't believe how badly they fucked up "The Ornament"

I can't believe how badly they fucked up "The Ornament"

Ha - The Ornament, The Thought of Losing You, Sun Goes Down and Before We Began (sometimes even Where I'll End Up) are the only songs I can listen from that. And while the original "Ornament" coda in CWA is better, I still like the "full" version enough to consider it the highlight of this disaster of an album.

Tame Impala - Lonerism
Endors Toi -> Apocalypse Dreams -> Mind Mischief

Mac Demarco - Salad Days
Brother -> Let Her Go -> Goodbye Weekend

Air - Moon Safari
La Femme D'Argent -> Sexy Boy -> All I Need

Lots of good picks. Think I have to agree with the OP, or the opening to Sgt. Peppers and Daft Punk - Discovery. Hard to beat.

My contributions:

Marvin Gaye - Here, My Dear
A Funky Space Reincarnation > You Can Leave, But It's Going To Cost You > Falling In Love Again

Bobbi Humphrey - Blacks and Blues
Chicago, Damn > Harlem River Drive > Just A Love Child

Doves - Lost Souls
Catch The Sun > The Man Who Told Everything > The Cedar Room

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
Race For The Prize > A Spoonful Weighs A Ton > The Spark That Bled

Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon

Time -> Great Gig in the Sky -> Money

I was going to say DSOTM, but I was going to say the (slightly cheaty, given how the last track tends to work):

Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage/Eclipse

(For those unfamiliar with it: Brain Damage and Eclipse are strictly two distinct songs, but they're intertwined more than most other songs, and often played together by default)

Also in Floyd, I'd probably be inclined to nominate:
Comfortably Numb / The Show Must Go On / In The Flesh

Radiohead - In Rainbows
Reckoner -> House of Cards -> Jigsaw Falling Into Place

I mean, holy shit. Doesn't get any better.

Honorable mention:
Radiohead - King of Limbs
Codex -> Give Up the Ghost -> Separator

Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
Tenement Funster > Flick of the Wrist > Lily of the Valley

Great songs and they were made to follow each other.

From Sufjan Stevens' Illinois

Decatur > Chicago > Casimir Pulaski Day.

I'd be fine with this. OPs is also excellent. I'm not a huge fan of MJ's music, but that's a killer sequence.

Also I'm partial to TV on the Radio's Dear Science:
Love Dog -> Shout Me Out -> DLZ

Titus Andronicus's Civil War epic The Monitor has a great song sequence
A Pot in Which to Piss -> Four Score and Seven -> Theme From "Cheers"

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
Rotten Apple -> Nutshell -> I Stay Away

Anathema - We're Here Because We're Here
Thin Air -> Summernight Horizon -> Dreaming Light

Japandroids - Celebration Rock
Adrenaline Nightshift > Younger Us > The House That Heaven Built

The Clash - London Calling
Hateful > Rudie Can't Fail > Spanish Bombs

Frank Turner - Love, Ire & Song
I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous > Reasons Not To Be An Idiot > Photosynthesis

Father John Misty - Fear Fun
Funtimes In Babylon > Nancy From Now On > Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings

The Killers - Hot Fuss
oh man...... Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine > Mr. Brightside > Smile Like You Mean It > Somebody Told Me > All These Things I've Done > Andy, You're A Star

The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Cemetry Gates > Bigmouth Strikes Again > The Boy With The Thorn In His Side

Weezer - Pinkerton
The Good Life > El Scorcho > Pink Triangle

Oh man, forgot some good ones.

Faith no More - The Real Thing
From Out of Nowhere > Epic > Falling to Pieces

Faith no More - King for a Day...
Ricochet > Evidence > The Gentle Art of Making Enemies

Faith no More - Album of the Year
Collision > Stripsearch > Last Cup of Sorrow > Naked in Front of the Computer > Helpless > Mouth to Mouth > Ashes to Ashes
Track #1 to Track #7, pretty much.

Tool - Disposition/Reflection/Triad

oh yes, I also forgot to mention that (pun intended).

Hell, in Angel Dust too: Land of Sunshine -> Caffeine -> Midlife Crisis. Or Smaller and Smaller -> Everything's Ruined -> Malpractice.
Or Malpractice -> Kindergarten -> Be Aggressive.

So damn awesome.

Talking Heads - Remain in Light
Born Under Punches
Crosseyed and Painless
The Great Curve
Once in A Lifetime

Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
Unbelievers
Step
Diane Young

The Clash - London Calling
Spanish Bombs
The Right Profile
Lost in the Supermarket

I thought about Angel Dust, but I never really liked Land of Sunshine or Malpractice as much as the others...

Stars of the Lid - ...And Their Refinement of the Decline | Don't Bother They're Here -> Dopamine Clouds Over Craven Cottage -> Even if You're Never Awake
This is a fantastic choice. But it's almost not fair, because "Even if You're Never Awake" is good enough to elevate just about any two other songs ever written to make a top notch trilogy.
