The Human Condition. 10 hours long, by the end I was so involved that this ending ruined me.

I'm still going to side with the OP - the music really makes it.

Also, COMMANDO.

"Leave any for us, John?...

Just bodies."

Queue 80's music.

So hey, cool kids, what are the movies you're posting?

"Woman looking at the camera with red curtains behind her" is kind of hard to draw any conclusions from! Your post isn't cool if it's all mysterious you know. It's just all mysterious.

It's Magnolia. Drop whatever you're doing and watch it immediately.

Here is a three minute clip from the opening 5-10 minute "prologue/lead-in/conceptual beginning" of the film.

Don't look at the associated videos for this gem of a film. Make sure you start watching the actual film at around 9:30-10:30pm your time, and expect to end at around 1-2am your time if you don't take more than a few short snack/bathroom breaks.

A film like this deserves minimal interruptions, that's why I'm suggesting to start the film late. Even make your self some tea or coffee before so that you can really make it through on full alert mode. Just in case you've had a long day or something. You would not want to fall asleep or be yawning too much during the last hour if your enjoying the film but you're too tired to last to the end!

The film is 3 hours and 8 minutes, but it feels more like 2:45 because it's so intriguing to follow all of the stories to their eventual climaxes...

I hope you like the film! Let us know in here if you see it! :)

You'll never see better advice ever.

The best you'll ever see Cruise too.

Man, what a movie, it's just a sucker punch.

It has one particularly impressive shot too, it's when the camera is flowing everyone around behind the scenes of the gameshow. It tracks one person as they enter a room, follows a conversation with someone, then tracks them as they leave. It does this in one continuous shot for a few minutes, the out on the set of the show. I was utterly gobsmacked at the planning and execution that must've been involved.

PTA is truly a virtuoso.

I've seen this film, I love this film, I just haven't seen it in years. My favourite PTA movie behind TWBB. Aimee Mann's soundtrack is gorgeous too, and I'm not even a fan.

Good shout man!

I'm going to see this movie tonight or tomorrow night or this weekend at home again just because of your post... :)

The Social Network

Mark sitting there hitting refresh after sending Erica a friend request was a lovely way to end a wonderful movie.

"You're not an asshole Mark, you're just trying so hard to be."

Love that line, Rashida is always a bonus too.

Claudia's flash of a smile right before the credits roll in Magnolia - while John C Reily is talking and Aimee Mann is playing - is definitely my favorite closing shot of all time.

Gets me right in the heart every time i watch it, even knowing that its coming.

Dark horse choice, but if you've seen it, you probably agree with me"

The Long Good Friday

Michael Clayton fans, they will like this shot. Go watch this movie!

Never heard of this until now, but it has Bob Haskins and Helen Mirren? SOLD.

Also, only one other person mentioned it, but the last part of Collateral is fantastic.

It has probably already been posted by I like Fight Clubs ending

"You met me at a very strange time in my life."

Ooooooh ooooh
with your feet in the air and head on the ground

I agree with this guy.

I had no idea this was an old thread until I saw my own comment...
Final shot of Barton Fink. The seagull diving into the sea is the icing on the cake.

Barton Fink, Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple, A Serious Man, O Brother, No Country... the Coens know how to end a movie.

The following people have good taste

sorry if you didn't make the cut.
lol

(not sure why I omitted Long Good Friday...)

Punch Drunk Love, though I prefer right before when it's zoomed out.
Adam Sandler's best, and by best I mean only good, movie.

It being one of my favorite movies ever, here's Ghost Dog's final two shots.

The split second view of Forrest is perfect, too.

If ADHD wasn't such a problem in our society, both Ghost Dog and Dead Man would get the recognition they deserve.

Au Revoir Les Enfants

Not quite the last shot but close. There are two or three more shots after this. It ends with a close up of Julien.

I cried.
