Anyway, i agree with Breaking Bad he is excellent. I also feel not enough love given to Coach Tyler from Friday Night Lights and also Adama from Battlestar. There are a lot of great leading actors though that carry shows. And also Dexter was the only reason i bothered with that show anymore in the later seasons. He was the only good thing about it.

Soo many dudes.

Agreed, there's not enough opportunities for leading female roles on TV. Some of the greats (which haven't been mentioned):

I'm still really impressed by how great Anna Torv became on Fringe and I hope she gets a chance on a less messy show once it's over.

I'm pretty much just gonna repeat whats beens said but

The doctor
Malcolm Reynolds
Al swearengen
Dr Cox
Anna Torv (she didn't start out great, but she really came into her own in the show)
Admiral Adama
Dean Winchester
Dick Winters (if mini series count)
Captain Picard
Aeryn Sun

Fucking Gregory House. Arguably one of the best TV characters ever.

EDIT: House wasn't even on the first page? You suck GAF, just terrible...

Well i guess no one is really the lead actor of Six Feet Under but Ruth Fisher is really awesome.

Is Jack Bauer never not holding a gun?

Does he order cheese fries at gunpoint?

These characters better have gotten mentioned or I will flip my shit.
Is that Famke Janssen? What show is that from? Really like her as an actress.

Marlo was okay. Worked well as a "villain" but I didn't find his crew nearly as interesting as the main Barksdale crew. Stringer, Avon, D'Angelo, Wee-Bey, etc.

The Barksdale crew was amazing. All of them had real depth to their characters, especially String and D'Angelo

i dont get the hate for Marlo. people routinely label him 1 dimensional, boring, etc. but his appearances onscreen were amazing.

You'd be hard pressed to call him a leading character though, you could probably say the same about all characters from the wire actually.

I really need to get around to watching Millennium. I bought the seasons on DVD years back but haven't watched them. I am afraid that that it won't live up to the hype my friends give it.

It's an excellent show, it is just inconsistent, each season had different show runners and it shows. Season one is basically Se7en the TV show, season two verges into prophecy and secret societies and season three becomes a bit of a boring FBI procedural.

That sounds incredibly interesting.. Any other shows based around secret societies/prophecies? That stuff fascinates me.

Not sure, I actually enjoyed that stuff myself, just season 3 veers away from both the previous seasons completely. The prophecy stuff though was mostly based around Y2K so some of it may not have the impact now that it had then.

Captain Edmund Blackadder

Witty, scathing, cowardly, petty, sarcastic, abusive, pathetic, bullying, and as shown in the final episode, a bit decent. Fantastic character. As was everyone else in Blackadder Goes Forth

Ah I forgot black adder. I think we can sorta lump black adders 2, 3, and 4 together given how similar they are to each other personality wise.

I thought about doing that, but for some reason I prefer Captain Blackadder to any of the other iterations. probably cos the last episode is the only time it strays from comedy and gives him a some realistic tendencies

I prefer to think that the show ended on the last episode of season 2.

My wife had fond memories of the show growing up, so much so that she even got the Millennium symbol from the show as a tattoo. This past winter we watched the whole series. Season 1 is great, season 2 is good, and like I said before I prefer to think that season 3 doesn't exist. It's not that it's bad exactly it's just that it takes the show in an entirely new direction. Actually, you can say the same about the last part of season 2 as well. I would have liked it if they would have kept the same plotlines and mood as in season 1.

Also, if you do watch the show make sure you watch the tie-in episode of X-files as well. It happens after Season 3 of Millennium and brings closure to the character of Frank Black.

Can't believe it took page 2 for this guy.

Definitely Agree with Walter White and Spike Speigel though.
