Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty have left Podcast Beyond

If you are reading this Greg, all I can say is thank you, to you and Colin for delivering such a wonderful podcast after all these years. This podcast had an amazing chemistry, it felt like I was in the same room with you guys. At times it even felt like I was hanging out with some of my best friends.

This podcast was something I looked forward to every week. I will continue to support wherever you guys go because you guys are amazing, kind, and likable people. Thanks again, and I wish you success on your new journey with Kinda Funny Games. I hope one day, I have the pleasure of meeting you and Colin.

Should there be a Kinda Funny community thread on NeoGAF? I do hope they get their own forums at some point, though. I'd sign up in a heartbeat.

If a Kinda Funny community thread is made, I think one rule is there should be some witty subtitle for each version of it. Maybe something like The Kinda Official NeoGAF Community of Kinda Funny Vids: Thread I- "Something Witty Goes Here"

Feel free to create it :) I'm lazy
Awesome! I'll try to put it up relatively soon (some time in the next 5-7 days, I'm super busy until monday).

Let me know if ypu have any ideas for anything specific you guys think I should include, and feel free to offer up thread title suggestions
because I suck at them.

Kinda Funny Games Community Thread | 50 Shades of Scarpino

Well there goes my only 2 reasons to visit IGN. So happy they're doing their own thing now though, Kinda Funny really is brilliant.
Beyond!

The only Beyond episode I listened to was the one hijacked by Scott Bromley and Ryan Scott, but I love the hell out of Greg and Colin and them leaving IGN is the end of a significant chapter. I'm getting used to Kinda Funny, but it simply won't be the same. Hell, I still miss previous casts of Nintendo Voice Chat and Game Scoop in it's glory days. IGN is just such an ever-changing beast.

There's still Super Knockin Boots, but I always forget to check out the new episode because Daemon Hatfield blocked me on Twitter for insulting dubstep and he's the one that tweets about it.

Kinda Funny Games Community Thread | Ayyy I'm Captain America

(Anyone else see their live drunk reaction to spidey in the MCU? Unreal)

It was only outdone by their 2011 PSN episode of Beyond.

We tried.

Aw, man. That would have been awesome! It's a testament to a powerful brand you shaped and molded.

Do you have a suggestion for the title to the (soon to be) Kinda Funny NeoGAF thread?

If the Kinda Funny thread gets made hopefully Colin, Nick, and Tim will make NeoGAF accounts (if they haven't already) to pop in once and a while.

We tried.
Ahhh, man. I had guessed as much. Understand why IGN wouldn't want to agree to it, but dang, that would've been awesome if they had.

Oh and I have a suggestion that I have no idea if (or when) it would be feasible...but now that you guys aren't necessarily tied to one specific geographic region, you should totally consider a podcast tour across the country. I know the logistics would be difficult to work out, but I think it would be incredible.

I'm a big Harry Potter fan and one of my fondest memories was during the lead-up to book 7, my favorite HP podcast did a Summer of 7 tour where they drove around the U.S. and recorded live shows with fans at bookstores. I know you all have done lots of meet-and-greets in the big cities, but you have a lot of fans scattered throughout other parts of the country and I know they'd love a chance to meet you. Heck, I doubt you'd even have to pay for hotels with how large the Beyond family has become :-)

Would give you guys an opportunity to sell your merchandise, record live shows in different venues across the U.S. to spread your new brand, pose for pictures, eat awesome food, etc. With the technology we have today, you could still keep up most of your Kinda Funny shows while on the road. Would be a lot to work out logistically and a lot of planning, but there's no denying you (and the fans) would have a blast.

I'll put myself up as the first volunteer to help plan if you need it, lol.

Edit: Oh, and thanks for retweeting the tribute video I made. Had such a blast making that. Just so many good memories. I regretted not being able to include more.

Wow. I wasn't expecting to cry as much as I just did. I love these guys.

I'd totally be down for a Kinda Funny thread. As acerbic as GAF is to IGN, I know a lot of us have a soft spot for Podcast Beyond.

Hey--

It would seem most people on this thread watched the video/listened to the podcast, so I don't have to be as long winded as I was there.

So, in short, thank you.

I remember when I first got to IGN 8 years ago, someone mentioned Gaf, and I was told (by former employees no longer with the company) "Don't post there; they hate us." Now, for the most part, that was true -- ;) -- but I never understood the idea of hiding from people who didn't like us, and I found my ways to post every now and again.

Once I started doing that, y'all have been great to me. Sure, there are critics and people -- even on this very thread -- who say they "hate" me (a man they've never met and have only listened to talk about video games), but 98 percent of you have been great.

I remember when I was at the PS4 event in NYC and the image of Scott Lowe and I in bed with the console popped up and some jumped to conclusions that we were the worst people ever. When I popped up in the thread and answered questions for an hour, everyone got where we were coming from and was rad.

On the Internet, it's rare to be able to come into a hostile environment and turn the tide. It showed me a rational side of Gaf that made me respect y'all even more.

I've read all your comments. I'm sad to go, too, but I'm excited for the future. Thank you to everyone who has given KindaFunny.com a chance. Thank you for understanding the Kinda Funny Gamescast is in its infancy -- hell, that the whole business is in its infancy -- and that we're going to grow and get better.

I hope you'll come along for the ride. If not, it's been my pleasure to serve you.

BEYOND!
Greg

Blimey!

Thanks Greg. You're the best. See you and the dudes over on Kinda Funny.

Umm - are we gonna do a Kinda Funny OT?

I'm happy to volunteer to do it unless someone else wants to?

do it! I think we need one.

Man, there ends my favourite podcast :'(

It was so great seeing the old crew again, roper, goldfarb and clements.
and even shu - hope you guys get him on kinda funny.

the farewells were bittersweet as fuck, sad cause end of an era, but happy because kinda funny imo; is basically beyond turned into a whole channel.

Pandamusk's animation at the end was fucking awesome, gave me such great goosebumps. I really hope sony have a crack at a new playstation all stars game.

This podcast was the very 1st gaming podcast that I subscribed to. I remember listening to Greg, Colin, Ryan, and even Andrew when I was walking home from school every single day back in high school. Now I am in grad school and hate to see them go! How time flies! At least I still have KindaFunnyGamescast to turn to as a somewhat of a consolation. Don't think that community will ever become as tightly knit as Greg and co made with Beyond!

Will definitely have a soft part with this particular podcast, regardless of what GAF think.

Man that podcast had me tearing up! Its sad to see Greg and Colin leave but its great that they're doing their own thing with KindaFunny. I remember watching the first Conversation with Colin episodes and it was great to see them move into the gameovergreggy show with Tim and Nick. That show and the gamescast podcast always help me through the day now.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I couldn't care less about these guys' podcast.

Then why are you here?

Anyways, I won't be watching Beyond without Colin and Grg. I think Marty's a cool guy but I just don't think he'll be able to fill that role. I've subscribed to them on Kinda Funny Games and watch their stuff daily so it's not bad. They are also cranking out a lot more content so its all good.
