Greg Miller The MLK of Progressive Twitter

I have no opinion on Greg Miller but that was one milquetoast take down attempt

I love how it starts off the video mocking Greg Millers comedy and then follows up with dud after dud pun and joke

Sorry but disagreeing with Greg Miller doesn't make you right wing. I'm a lefty (Labour party here in Australia) yet I despise this woke/pandering movement. It's not a right/left thing at all. If that's what you are talking about?!?
Maybe in Australia it isn't idk. But here in North America woke is very much a liberal movement. Things like saying these people are pandering or using the term sjw to insult people is very much a right winger/conservative thing.

The only tolerable gaming celebrities is Peer, and that boy is almost retired and Jessica Chobot, she doesn't cover video games since I was a teen.

I used to like Peer and Matt back in the day, but Twitter has ruined these guys for me. I really hate the medium. Think and say what you want, but I'm tired of self righteous people pontificating on Twitter about how evil other people are. This goes for the right and the left. I hate social media. It really shows you how many people are gutter mouths not worth my time of day.

These are the kind of people who buddy up with Sarkeesian and Druckmann. Shame of what he became, and not to mention his profile picture and gender pronouns in his bio.

Never minded him until Colin quit and he started going heavy on political nonsense.

Funny how that works, huh? Everyone was talking about how Colin just wanted to chat about politics and KF wanted to talk about games, and the "firing" was an excuse to get rid of him so they can do that. Yet Colin seemed to double down on game talk and KF became overly political cunts. Also Colin because far more successful than this far pasty blob of a person.

Why would anyone listen to a person like this?

Get your gaming news elsewhere and if you are bored, learn some new shit instead of wasting your time with these people.

Best to just avoid Social Media when you can, unless you use it sparingly and only for specific reasons (such as Instagram to see news/art being posted, or pinterest to share home decor ideas). Makes your life so much better to cut out the toxicity that such platforms invariably bring.

U got EA/Activision/Bethesda as examples of worst pubs, u got Greg Miller as example of worst possible influencers/journalists, lets just say im very much not a fan of anything this guy touches/produces.

There is nothing "Liberal" about the woke movement. Then again real liberalism is dying/dead so call it whatever.

my ponouns are him / her.

Who am I kidding, I don't even know what pronouns are anymore, people like Craig should probably self identify as cis stupid and cis retard, pretty sure these words are pronouns by now.

but, yeah, pronouns are important, they have been forever:
Pronouns replace nouns. A different pronoun is required depending on two elements: the noun being replaced and the function that noun has in the sentence. In English, pronouns only take the gender of the noun they replace in the 3rd person singular form.

What's the point of this? Fragile Gamers™ getting angry at pronouns? A circlejerk of talking shit about a person they don't like?

I use to watch Kinda funny at times because of Colin and Nick. When they fucked over Colin, I never watched another and realised how much an oppurtunist and prick Greg Miller is. Tim is also a San Fran pansy and I felt he always hated Colin

I just use Minds.com now, cuts all bs, or just get off the grid entirely

I didn't check out the video because I can't stand Gundam too much personally. But yeah, Greg Miller can be... A bit much. Naturally I'm just put off by people that come off that way. It's as if they're on 500% and always trying so hard to be memorable in some shape or form.

I guess TL;DR boo try hards, lmao.

This video is just wrong. To say Greg is irrelevent to gamers is just a lie. It's okay to not like Greg, but his company is making moves and they do matter to the industry (as much as a podcast\network can).

I agree with that, the video actually misses more than it hits and ends very weak.

But I did like the idea of comparing Greg to MLK and that whole image.

Why? The point of the video is to show that what Greg is about is stupid and that he could possibly be a huge fake (I don't believe he is by the way). So what's the actual comparison to MLK that's happening here? Plus why did he post this the day after MLK day?

While I think some of the reactions to Greg in here go overboard, I'm definitely not a fan. There is definitely something that feels disingenuous about all the "Patreon/best friends/gtfo if you voted for Trump" schtick.

The channel is so obnoxious to listen to, but I can't hate them for doing their thing when their audience enjoys it. I've heard Greg say that their fanbase skews "older" but I'm skeptical because the brand of comedy is so random and brain dead. Every once in a while, this guy eats too much sugar and starts acting like your a.d.h.d.-diagnosed little cousin on his 8th Birthday Party. Except he appears to think it is super charming and funny. You can tell his co-hosts are even kinda internally rolling their eyes when it happens, but he's the boss.

Whatever, I clearly know too much. I guess I've enjoyed sone small bits of their content and I'll thank him for that. I'm sure he's done good for other people. People are complicated. Truly obnoxious fellow though, and I haven't even gotten into the politics.

Alot of us are older, yet still into over-the-top crazy type laughs. Jim Carrey did so much physical comedy back in the 90s, yet so many people over 30 loved it.

I think his level of energy is a little too intense for me but he seems like a genuinely nice person. Also he is putting many people on a spotlight that is helping them in their careers. All around great guy.

I assumed to juxtapose the two images...one of a true social rights hero in a time of great injustice, against a guy (internet personality) making this big song and dance about changing his bio to include pronouns...mostly for attention.

Almost everything on twitter is disingenuous.

I'm a tree-hugging vegan socialist and I regularly roll my eyes at some of the commentary made by people whom I share space on the political spectrum with.

Are most gamers right wingers?
Hating SJWs, Progressives, and the Alt-left isn't a right wing thing. There are a lot of Democrats who hate the left of their party, and a metric shit ton of moderates who hate identity politics and vapid social justice junk. Add all the "right wingers" to that, who by and large are good honest people, and you can see how many people are against that stuff.

Being an SJW is a minority position, and just about everyone that isn't in their cult thinks they are annoying mouthy twats. Its hilarious when one pops up at a party, or get together, and everyone immediately starts talking shit about them because they JUST WONT SHUT UP. Luckily their ilk are rare here in the south so I can pretend they don't exist for the most part.
