I had this from a mom and pop bar in the Traverse City area in Michigan. It cost $8.00.

Thick sliced bacon, bbq sauce, onion ring, cheese ...amazing!

that looks fucking delicious

For a franchise, it's good. Way too expensive though. So I only really get it if I'm out and about, have the spare dime and WANT a burger badly.

For my own local burger joint though, you can't go past Zombie Burger in St Kilda. BBQ sous sauce fresh from steaks... Locally sourced ingredients... Rosemary fries. HMMF.

Forgive me, but what in the hell is that huge, cheese covered object in your picture? The thing that looks like a squat donut?

To echo others here, I'd feel awful after eating something like that. At least with Grill'd I won't feel like I've taken years off my life once I'm done.

Onion ring with melted cheese.

The cheese on the burger needs to be more evened out. I can imagine the onion ring will slide away and all the cheese will be messed up on the burger.

It's weird how whenever there is a thread about nice food with decent portions, someone jumps in with a grease bomb on a plate with extreme portions.
It seems that they only care about value for money rather than feeling like shit afterward.

There's now a burger place in North Hobart called BurgerHaus. I had a steak burger there, and shit was pretty tops. It's pretty much identical to Burger Got Soul, and run by similar people?, but shit, if it means I don't gotta drive to Sandy Bay, I'll take it.

The burgers and chips were pretty similar to Grill'd's selection, and tasted just as good, so it seems I'm getting my wish of more burger joints in Tasmania.

If anyone lives in or around Eltham (Melbourne north-east), they should give The Burger Lounge a try. Amazing buns, great patties of different meats, fish and veg options and amaaazing toppings.

I mean, look at this thing of beauty.

And then there's the steak sandwhich..

Fucking yum.

Is that an over easy egg on the burger in the OP? Love me an egg on my burgers. Toss in some back and i cover my 3 major food groups (Cow, Pig, and Chicken)
