GT Sport Photomode vid

Crazy thing is, I would buy this game just because it has a photomode. I spend more time in photomodes than playing the actual games.

Maybe I'll do it too! I don't play online, so GTS won't have lots of things for me. But this Scapes Mode is really amazing and it's like heaven for me, as a person who spent hours and hours in Photo Travel Mode (and race Photo Mode) in previous games.

I personally love it the more I see it. Can imagine just chilling out placing my favourite cars into cool locations in Japan while Yamauchi's hand picked Jazz and chilled music plays in the background.

I do love the presentation of GT and the notion of the wider world out there with the little bits of trivia presented in the games. It's nice to have this Japanese take on cars, and not some whizz bang lowest common denominator presentation as the world of cars being brash and loud with hot girls draped over everything :p

All other car games feel very empty, sterile and quite miserable. Yamauchi does bring some joy and lightness to the whole thing and reminds us that cars play a part in society.

Yeah maybe it's a waste of resources but the game does seem to be shaping up rather nicely. I just hope they build on it and continue making the game better. At this stage there's absolutely no need to hit the reset button for the next game. Indeed GT as a service, expanding with DLC tracks, cars, locations etc is what I'd want to see.

It's by far the most appealing thing about the game for me.

The idea of taking photos of car models infront of wallpapers sounds kind of dumb but their execution makes sense and is somewhat futureproof as well.

Just wish the car roster wasn't so lackluster.

Do scapes fit the current screenshot thread though? They're hardly representative, even less than current photomodes, of the actual game.

Whether it "counts" is for other people to argue, I just think basically a pre-set composition in front of someone else's photo makes it feel like someone else's photo, even if it's a game car in front of it. Traditional photo mode will be my playground.

The GAF darling, Driveclub, really shined post-launch. Heck it didn't even have weather for many months.
