GT5 News - Nurburgring update (pre-E3 edition)

Any better captures on that vid yet? Kudos to the original poster for getting it out so quickly, but it's a little hard to see a lot of it.

isn't that the trailer that was shown at tgs behind closed doors? i think it fits the decription, whatever it was.

cool trailer, though. it rekindled my interest.

Can't wait to see this part in HD

hot!

somebody needs to pause the video and take some high quality photos.

the headlight beam needs fixing.

I'm no GT/racing fan, obviously. I never imagined seeing some cars zip around (no matter how beautiful it looked) would excite people so much. I was like, "ooh, cars", and everyone is getting excited about things that didn't even occur to me (watching certain models crash, giant skybox geometry, night racing -- they've seriously never done races at night before? :lol ). I'm glad this news brings such happiness to you. :D

Well, the exciting part of night racing here is that for the first time it's not only tracks "set in the night". It will be possible to race any track during the night.
Can't wait to see weather too. Will probably not be a preset either.

I don't want to sound like a dick, I just like questioning everything -- are you guys sure that a couple of scenes of night racing in the trailer confirms that feature across all tracks?

And wow; I'm seeing this video posted on so many sites now that I've never even heard of before. It's bizarre to see something I threw up spread like wildfire overnight.

Cars are the most beautiful industrial products, and with this game you can drive the cars (as close to the RL as it can get) that you couldn't (or never will) drive in real life, that's why we love the cars and that's why we love the game...
And thanks for the upload :)

Still just an assumption, since nothing that has been shown yet indicates that night racing will be available on all stages... Or have I missed something? The night stage shown here is just the same night stage that has been available in the earlier GT games, right?

Wow.... So much fail in this.

I have a hard time accepting anything from that preview, since 1) they later retracted the Indy part (which according to them was their world exclusive reveal! WTF?), and 2) pretty much every line in the preview sounded like it was regurgitated from various crappy previews that were already spreading before that magazine issue.

I can agree that it is not confirmed by Sony or PD but we have this as the only proof that there will be night versions for all tracks (from GT by Citroen trailer which is pretty old now)

Another awesome trailer as usual.

I wonder if someone strung all of the trailers for GT5, would it equate to a feature length film. :lol

That'd be awesome!

Holy shit is that the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II?
We already saw that particular building in another trailer a few months ago.

So does that mean you pass by the Colosseum on the Roma track?
I don't really see the connection between the two, but yes. In this new trailer, you can also see cars speeding past the Colosseum.

Cool trailer. Apart from the night racing and the new track i wasn't really impressed by it. I guess i expected a bit more. Maybe this was the trailer shown and TGS last year, the one we didn't get to see?

With that NASCAR feature and this new trailer in GOW3...I dunno, I get the feeling we're going to get some kind of news within the next month.

I love GT Trailers, is like they are one of the few developers that pay attention to the synchronization between music and video.

Man I can't stop watching their trailers, I never bought a GT game I don't like the "real sim" idea of it, I prefer more arcadish races. But man, I always watch their trailers and get wow by their graphics. GT keep doing your awesome stuff! :D

I like how Drum N Bass is pretty much becoming the staple music of racers.

I want smooth jazz in my GT5 menu or I'm not buying!

HD VERSION, NAU! PUREASE!

Glenn from PSNation said he has it, and might upload a direct feed video tomorrow. Hopefully somebody will beat him to the punch.

I hope 3D isn't going to hurt Sony's studios. Between Arc and 3D, that's a lot Sony is pushing onto the teams (if they are pushing it). It might delay games or hurt their quality/polish.

i doubt it... at all. Arc SDK is same as usual controller SDK. It should be as simple as it can be. 3D i dont know, but they have been demoing it a lot, so it seems SDK for that is going to be usable as well.

Well I just hope GT5 wasn't delayed so they could work 3D into the game better. I'm all for pushing technology forward but 3D has actually crossed my threshold of "too soon" and that makes me feel like an HD hater circa 2006. I don't like that feeling. :\

if anything that could be damage requests and not 3D... whatever pushed game from dec 2009 did it... I doubt it was 3D at that point... Q1 push was just financially reasonable ;-)

yes, this is the "Vittoriano" or "altare della patria" in Rome. On the background you can see the "fori imperiali" (imperial fora) of the ancient rome.
I am roman so u can trust me :D

damnit, why do these guys make such great trailers? makes me consider buying the game even though I'm not really into these semi-sim racers anymore :lol (I barely played GT5p or Forza 3) But these trailers just exude class. So good.

Didn't GT4 support 1080i?

I'm all for them pushing way past the current standard, even if I won't see the benefits now. Love future proofing games.
