I just think the game should only have sim/pro physics and supplement your skill level with assists. It seems odd to have two vastly different driving systems in one game.

The only time I see this being an issue is online. Even then, private rooms allow you to set up your own rules, and you can more or less be competitive within your own group of friends.

Right. Trophies are trophies, but this is a game and gameplay comes first. They can't force everyone to use cockpit view or no assists or whatever to get trophies. The point is to race and enjoy the game, be it from 3rd person cam, cockpit or bumper or whatever you like.

I don't even feel like I have to try in Arcade, old school GT game of slam on the brakes late and turn in with perfect grip.
It just don't see any reason why the game shouldn't run 100% on pro physics, especially after seeing a few of the new assist options implemented in GT5. From the assist descriptions it seems that with them all on it would basically make any mode "arcade" mode.

Despite him being a dolt, I have to admit that tekken90 is doing a better job of stoking the hype train boilers at this point than Sony is. The "big suprise! It's gonna be legend" teaser for the day guarantees I won't be far from a browser.

While I was talking to one of my friends he told me he already bought GT5 like 3 days ago. I said "WHAT!?" and asked for proof...
Problem is that he's in the far west and I live in the far east. Hopefully this means we already have it, didn't bother to ask any local retailer for the past couple of days. Shops are closed now, gonna check them out real soon.

Oh thank god, all of the rims are just in one menu. No more clicking between each brand to look at a list of three rims.

Some of these photos are really making me double take wether I am looking at a game or real life. Simply astounding graphical quality.
