Exactly, how can people complain about that, the fact that you wont be able to get it on any other console cept the 360 will make anybody without one esplode eventually, THIS IS GTA DUDE.

do you live in nyc? i feel like most cities will have a store that breaks the date.
 
Does anyone know if I can play with my friends in multiplayer on the PS3? Or will it be just random people like other PS3 games (IE no friend list/no friend invite).

Reviews mean nothing for this game... it's not like any one of us even cares what reviewers say in this case. We're all buying it.
 
After reading that review my hype levels are through the roof. I hope that doesn't come back to kick me in the balls.

As for the DLC, I recently bought a huge (and I do mean huge) amount of discounted Microsoft Points so I'm ready for the GTA content, Rock Band and anything else that takes my fancy.

Two weeks!!!!!! :D

That was a fucking terrible review. I have little doubt that GTA IV is awesome, but that review was about as informative as any of the handful of previews we've seen from months ago.

You haven't pre-ordered? I was sure you, of all people, would've pre-ordered months ago.

-Always crowded with people starting to line up from really early in the morning, if not before. Though, I suppose that's determined by the location of the store. Popular place in a big city vs middle of nowhere.
-No real timeframe. It's determined on a store by store basis, but they'll usually close after the crowd disipates.
-No clue about the Walmart stuff.
 
I'm not going to get burned this time. GTA has received 10's many times, but I don't think any of the GTA games are a 10. I'm not saying that the games are shit, but calling the past GTA games a "10" is frankly insulting to me. They do this with every GTA release.

I've only been to one midnight launch and it was Halo 3. If you just want the game and nothing more, I would suggest arriving an hour late.

I arrived at the party at about midnight but there was a ton of fucking people, too many. Apparently they were giving out numbers according to when you arrived and I got screwed. I had to wait at least 45 minutes before I could snag my pre-ordered copy.

Usually pretty cool. Everyone is just excited to be getting the game. Most midnight launches I have been to were a blast. Lots of really cool people having a good time. Last one I went to was the Wii launch. Great fun and I won a bunch of prizes too.

Just show up about twenty minutes before midnight. You will be towards the end of the line, but if the store is worth a damn, they will have a pretty efficient system and you should be out around twenty-thirty after. Just be sure to show up a little early to make sure you don't need to go inside the store and confirm your purchase before hand.

The inclusion of Fat Joe's Shit is real(Premier remix) shows they have some taste, thats a classic. I was kinda of hoping that the Hip Hop station would have been completely NY underground stuff. Though this song could be on the r'n'b station with ne-yo and r kelly or just a hits/commercial style station. Having that playing along side this doesn't really make much sense
 
Will there be a similar custom sound track radio station like the one included with the Xbox versions of previous GTAs? I'm sure they could implement that feature for both consoles. Then Rockstar's Hip-hop selection is irrelevant. Personally, I spend most of my time listening to the talk radio stations but it would still be nice to have the option.

There are a lot of gameplay scenes in the trailers released so far. It's just that R* used dramatic camera effects to make them more cinematic. Think of the MGS games.

Wow, you- you have a point, we haven't even seen any gameplay yet I don't think. And the game is out in a few weeks. Am I going mental? We haven't seen any gameplay whatsoever, or I'm going fucking crazy.
