GTA Stock Market & Insider Trading Thread: Scratching that BAWSAQ itch

Like I just said... That's fine if you're not playing in between, but reverting to an almost week old save would be really painful as I'm still working on activities and other side missions.

You're correct. That's probably the major reason why this process can be risky if you're not doing it at the end game.

I am doing side activities, but more or less want to find a way to buy that golf club, so everything else is on hold.
 
Anyone know who Vapid's competitor is?

Here are the stock tips for the assassinations, I don't remember who posted it originally:

GTA stock tips

1-The Hotel Assassination: Buy BetaPharma (Bet on the Bawsaq) before the mission

2-The Multi Target Assassination: Buy Debonaire (DEB on LCN) before the mission ( some maxed at 300%)

3-The Bus Assassination:: Sell Vapid (VAP on the Bawsaq) before the mission but buy Vapid after the mission (i got a ~25% return) (someone maxed at 100%)

4-The Vice Assassination: Buy Fruit (before the mission FRT on Bawsaq I got ~145% return)

5- The Construction Assassination: buy GoldCoast (GCD on LCN) before the mission (max I got was around ~82%) (so far seem to be maxed around 80%)
 
The main money maker in the assassination missions is to buy the stock of the company you just caused to crash after they crash (except for mission 1, IIRC).
 
just lost a 2 star wanted level by cutting through a narrow road and a bus happened to come in and accidentally block the cops. lol
 
I'm at work for a few more hours so I had my wife sell all PIS and put in HAL on new save....Hope she did it right lol
 
Still Balls deep in PIS from Mike and Frank, T dawg is in HAL, prices still holding firm, what's happening with the mass sell sell sell?

And was Gaf just down for an hour or so?

That's because the market updates about once every two hours. That means in something over an hour, PIS might be down a huuuge amount. We have no idea, though, but this is no time to take risks. We'll learn how BAWSAQ works from this, but just get out of PIS, for the time being.

Personally, I diversified in WIZ and HAL. WIZ is the next coordinated target, and HAL seems to be steady on the rise. I might quickly adjust this. But for now, we'll see. I'm getting out of PIS, anyway.

I don't doubt it but is your statement based on reddit's plans or do you have an inside scoop? Either way, sold my PIS stocks at around 5:45.

Put in 15 million or so into both PIS and HAL, with each character, all came out with a nice 5 million profit. Not bad for buying it last night. May go down on some WIZ next!
 
Put $100 Mil from each character into both HAL and PIS @ around $8-9 a share. Was considering selling off my PIS stock because of this group sell off I'm hearing about, but honestly even if it goes all the way down it will definitely come back up. I think these two stocks still have a LONG way up to go before they hit any kind of cap, already bad enough that I didn't have the money to get into them until recently. But with more and more people getting into it, and online starting tomorrow, I see both of these stocks eventually getting up into the $20-30 per share easily.
 
2 characters in HAL, Franklin has all my money so put his into WIZ.

Looked to me like WIZ may have bottomed out with just a 0.01% decline, but I know nothing about stocks.

But I'm so poor, only Franklin has over $100,000

Me too - lately I just don't want to be bothered and if I need my friend to get on I'd just text him.

And it seems there is a toss up between HAL and WIZ.
 
I didn't sell. Going to see what happens. About to invest some more money into something else, I think.
 
According to reddit, the market should show some change at 8PM EST if the mass selling spree affects the stocks.

Worthy experiment.
 
Dumped about 60 mil across all three characters in HAL, excited to see what's up.

Gotta make some money for that Golf course!

This will definitely answer some questions about the affect of player buying and selling.

I'm interested to see what kind of "in-game activity" Rockstar is talking about with Bawsaq.
 
Dumped all mine and put 20 million into WIZ and another save with it n pocket. Going to see what starts happening and watch some football.

It'd be hilarious if you applied that to real life. Only something like seeing the future and investing heavily in Apple a decade ago could've gotten you that kind of insane return.

No, many of us invested when it was a single digit for full dollars so at a minimum we likely got a 33% return.

Right... but not if i am going to lose $50k every time it updates. I figure you should wait til it starts going up for certain then go balls in. Really dont feel like losing what i just gained on PIS.
Anyway I went back to my PIS backup save, it has gone up $0.25 since the mass sell off began, so i am back in. I hope this shit hits its record high of 150 sometime this week.

RIDING PIS INTO THE SUNSET.

Haha I was considering calling my wife and asking her to do it if I couldn't make it home in time. I'm glad it didn't come to that.
