Please explain again how preordering equals "milking money from fans"?
I know that pre order incentives suck for people who were planing on pirating the game or getting it used sometime down the line, but if you were planing on getting the game - for heavens sake - just preorder and stop whining.

I think preorder bonuses in general are crummy... But this one is a preorder bonus that I'm interested in, especially because I have been waiting to preorder it comes available.

How about waiting for the price to drop? Or compare deals between stores? Not everybody is a pirate.
I'm not a huge fan of cutting out content and holding it hostage.
Huh..I think that is new. We've seen that vehicle in screenshots before, but I don't remember that specific one. Neat.

Or cross gen at launch if they do a x86 PC version how hard would it be to port to the x86 next gen twins? Odd as it sounds, I'd buy a PS4 at launch to play this streamed on Vita.

Image Quality.
the general clarity of the image, let's say; aliasing, low resolution etc all bring down the IQ.

I'm just comparing it to GTA IV's oil painting look, and to me the image fidelity is improved by leaps and bounds.
Or getting it NEW somewhere down the line? Or waiting to see which version performs the best? Or waiting for reviews? (although we know reviews are useless, when it comes to GTA).
There are a million reasons to not preorder, really few to do it.
So they have to twist your arm this way.
That was already true for Ballad of Gay Tony.
Anyhow, i've been mostly playing on PC these last 2 years and a half, i've got to get used to console IQ again, i guess.
I find that IQ comforting.
This is a game that will run of PS3/360, probably at a smooth frame rate, and still look as impressive as it needs to be. Some of the earlier images just seemed too good to be true.

See!? And this is why R* has preorder incentives - I know it sucks, but at the end of the day R+ runs a business.
Of course they want to sell the game at the highest possible price and within a short timeframe - before used copies start flooding the market.
I really think it´s perfectly understandable.
I´m his evil (or good?) alter ego.
You can preorder both version without putting any money down and cancel whenever you so desire.

Your reasons as to why the blimp should be yours because you bought the game are the same they can use to say they specifically coded the blimp to enhance day one purchases. right? right.

Pre-order bonuses are a risk and a reward, that's the whole point. You are taking a chance on pre-ordering the game for all of the reasons mentioned (higher price, one version better than another, maybe it's a lemon of a game, etc), and the publisher/developer is rewarding you for pre-ordering that game.
That's the point. They're offering something that you want (the ability to fly a blimp) for something that they want (a pre-order). Deal with it.
That something like "controls" are on the disc but not available to you doesn't change anything. There's a lot of things that are on the disc that are not available to you, hell, famously GTA:SA packed an entire sex episode into the game that was dropped. You paid $50 for that disc in 2004 or 2005, does that mean you are entitled to that content that was nixed? It's on the disc isn't it?

Sure, but even in a worst case scenario (GTA V turns out to be shit) you can always cancel your preorder without paying anything.
Amazon for example wont charge you until the game is shipped to you.
I preordered both versions of the game and will end up canceling one.
Well that depends where you live and what options are available to you.
I'm preordering on 360, btw, because there's no way the ps3 version performs better, after their past entries.
It's too bad, because i do not intend to pay for XBLG, so i won't play the multiplayer until it comes out on PC.

I believe everyone's fan favourite a Mr Mark Cerny has said that porting from PC to PS4 can be done in a matter of weeks instead of months.
As it stands it would make a lot of sense for Rockstar to release the 360/PS3 version. Then whilst that is bringing in the dosh finish the PC version and port it to the Xbone/PS4 and sell it in early 2014.

I actually meant that the map was made by someone on the GTAForums. That screen can't possibly be faked.
EDIT: And this vehicle has been shown before; it's not something someone dreamt up.

I really doubt they're going to say anything that would cause the customer to respond: "Oh cool so I don't need to pre-order then, I'll still get to fly a blimp. Thanks!"

I've bought a few things from the warehouse. You can't cancel anything as far as I know. I ordered 2 of the same shirt once accidentally and they wouldn't let me cancel it. I also want to know if I preorder GTA V from the warehouse, will I get it day one.
I want to know what kind of shipping they use on pre orders, since they won't let me choose.
Is it the UPS tracked one, or Royal Mail that can get lost easily?

Just to be clear, I live in the US. IIRC I think it's UPS. At least here. And UPS or whoever almost destroyed my Vice City 10th Anniversary Kubrick set. The box was all mangled. I was so pissed.
Yeah, i'm thinking of just preordering it locally, the price is the same.
It's a small shop though, so i'm a bit wary of them getting enough special editions.
I'll think it over tonight.
