It's crazy how good R* have gotten at making trailers. Even though this one is low fidelity, it's still better than most that come out nowadays.
I recall spending a LOT of time in Vice City just running around the city. My favorite out of the post GTA3 games with GTA3 a close second. There were times when I'd just set the car radio to the various stations (especially the talk stations) and just let the game run as I did homework, etc. Would never play this or any game like this on a phone but good trailer. Makes me want to break out my copy as I have my PS2 on the shelf and would love a reason to reconnect it.

Vice City is a great game, apart from that one fecking race mission, lucky that mission was optional.
Oh and don't forget the glorious cheese feast of the soundtrack, its awesome and to me what truly defines the game.

Yeah, I did too. Didn't really play much of it because I just couldn't adjust to the controls. Thankfully it was dirt cheap. Even though I love VC, I'll be passing on this because I just know I won't play it much.

What a great trailer.
Why not? Android has built in support for controllers since ICS. I played GTA3 on my Galaxy Nexus using my PS3 controller connected by Bluetooth and an MHL adapter connected to my TV and it played just as well as on PS2. A true portable console experience, so fucking awesome!

Awesome trailer. Oh man, sitting down with Vice City in late highschool, I still remember the night I got home with it. I brought my PS2 out to the living room 36 inch TV and played it for like 6 hours straight only to break for dinner.
I don't think I can buy the iOS version since I already own the PS2 and Xbox versions and would much rather just play them due to crummy controls and whatnot on the mobile devices, and also, I really don't want to pay for something I know I am going to not enjoy.
GTAIII is definitely my favorite no doubt, but this one comes in super super close behind it.

I thought it was reportedly a music licensing issue, speculation was Michael Jackson music.
I dont know if hooking a device up to a TV and PS3 controller makes it "portable" ( ;

I wish they'd release a cleaned up version on Steam/PSN/XBLA.
GTA3 looked like ass off of the PSN store.

oh well. This release has an itunes custom playslist feature, so I'll be loading it up with tons of 80's songs not licensed for the game.

I wish that they'd take a few minutes to port these remasters to PC. I don't mean to port beg, but it is really weird seeing the visually superior version of a game I love on my PC on my phone.
Or if they'd add controller support to any version of it.
Or release it on Vita.
Or on Ouya.
Oh well, I'll enjoy it poorly on my iPhone.
