GTA4 in the wild - first gameplay videos

Dream away guys... It's not going to happen. The pirates are already playing this game for 3 days now or so, and the honest customers have to wait until Tuesday. Fuck piracy. I hate those bitches.

I remember when Mass Effect launched. I was one of the lucky ones who got it a full 10 days before its release date at a Kmart. That would be awesome if I found this released early sometime this weekend.
 
I half considered modding my 360 drive just to play early. But knowing my luck, it'll get banned on Live days before my most anticipated multiplayer game of the generation hits (sorry MKWii).
 
Yeah I was about to mod my console too but I had the same thought as you. But I really don't understand why they are releasing a game on a tuesday in the middle of the week instead of the Week End when everybody as time to play it and appreciate it :/

I popped in to my local Asda (in the uk) and they wouldn't let me preorder it ('cos it is a smaller store) so naturally I asked if I could take it now and the reply was "Only if you want to pay the £1000 fine".

I've spent the morning calling all of my local Kmarts, but no luck yet.

Think of it like this:

Rockstar sees your post and says to themselves "Hey he's right we should release it on Friday... ...May 2nd."

These last few days were bound to be painful, leak or no, but it's only a few days now and we'll all forget about this agony when we finally sit down and play the game Tuesday.

that's normally the case, but for GTAIV at least, most stores either have already received their shipments or will have them by weekends end. So it'll go on sale on Tuesday at most places.

Drunk helicopter ride coming up omg. The city is beautiful at night in heli btw. Everything so smooth.

Edit: Lol he couldn't find the helicopter while drunk, when he sobered up it was right around the corner.

Installs don't eliminate load times in most PS3 games, and most 360 games use the HD to cache data, so I'm sure that there will be little difference between the two games, especially with GTA's track record of large upfront load times and minimal load times once you get the game going.

As much as I would love to see Rockstar give the go ahead, too many retailers have prepared midnight launch events for anything to change at this point.

sorry, wasn't talking about PS3 games in general. It just seems from the feeds I've been watching there are little load times here and there and just assumed the HDD install would eliminate them... Guess we really won't know until the first reviews pop up (hoping they do before the game goes on sale)
 
The guy was speeding through Manhattan in a heli close to the ground. It looked very smooth, the environment speeding by, and the trees under him (median to two way traffic) gave a great sense of speed. Racing around on a helicopter like this really make planes not worth it. This is amazing as it is, and it seem like the handling of the heli is very nice and smooth. Oh man.

Sent a pm firewire. Rockstar spies lol.

it's only mostly, games don't have a standard release day like movies and music. Although there's been rare exceptions for those too.
 
Taking his date to get drunk (Sculay feed). In a viper (forgot what it's called in gta).

The drinking looks like so much fun to be had. Even being drunk in the back of the taxi looks awesome.
