GTA4 in the wild - first gameplay videos

hard to tell from that video
yeah no kidding, I'm not seeing the slow here. I expect once a few massive explosions happen then a little bit. They drive on the street looked great. The only thing I see is with the camera sweeps which are controlled by the player and not slowed by the game.

The lighting was amazing, and I just love how atmospheric the area was in the video. VERY dark and creepy.

Car physics looked great. Don't know what you people are crying about.

Now we need to see euphoria in action. :D

The only thing I didn't like was how the lamp post just snaps like a stick when he drove his car into it, like in Midnight Club. Sturdier lamp posts would have been better, IMO. Other than that the physics were fine.

WOW. I just saw him do something with a versimilitude that is going to be on the news for months.

Seriously. Buy this game on Day 1, everyone. You're not going to get another chance after that.

Oh yes! The good ole GTA vibes are coming back. Everything just feels so full and big. Kinda how this gen is working by allowing more of the artists design to come through on the screen. And thank God that PS3 version did not really look abnormal. I fully expect there to be slowdown like past GTA, that doesn't bother me. I am impressed, like others, by the lighting and the world as is presented on the this new hardware. I cannot wait!

He was driving around Broker, I assume. And we also don't know what time of the day that footage was taken from.

How populous are Brooklyn's streets during the day?

No, I'm seriously asking. It's not like he was driving around Algonquin during midday.

With the lighting, that appeared to be Broker in the morning. How is my question not valid?

How come the very people who get the game early also happen to be the same people who can't capture footage for shit? Cell phone cameras? SERIOUSLY? If you have a fucking digital camera you can take video footage far better than that.

Not that we don't appreciate the effort but fuck, guys!

Looked more like dusk, and there should be people everywhere in New York

The lighting in the second video is so damn gorgeous. The graphics look too good for how huge the game is.

Love how Niko climbed onto the motorcycle. Nice animation.

The only thing I didn't like was how Niko landed on the post after flying through the air.
